ART: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1346340 IDEA: majofa NOTES: When this card enters play, if there is a shield in your shield slot, it is removed and 'equipped' to Squire. The Squire gains +0/+15. The Squire gains Gravity Pull and all physical damage done to Squire is reduced based on the amount the shield would normally block. Squire also gains all the abilities of the shield. The ability can be Lobotomized. Fog Shield and Dusk Mantle have their normal % blocking. Dimensional Shield, Wings, Bone Wall, and Dissipation Shield have the same effect as the generic Shield and would only block 1 damage (2 for upped). If you do not have in play, then Squire comes into play as a 0/1 creature with no ability.

Good for the Arena, when you spin a shield.

More shield usability would be a cool idea.  But not sure how this fares.  I think I prefer the double-shield idea in the Armory.

dual shield works in theory because it removes the weapon slot and only allows one extra shield- this kinda removes those balancing elements from the multiple shield issue.  in order to maintain balance, the squire would probably have to take on some effect/ability/change/whatever other than the function of the shield itself, otherwise can you imagine having 3-6 frost shields or thorn carapaces (or skull shields, grumble) in play?

What happens when it equips your shield? Increase its own HP? Make your opponent's creatures have to deal with the shield effects twice?

Question: Does it double the effect of your shield, or is it equipped with its own shield?

Addition: If this idea doesn't go over well, you could go with what I originally thought you meant to say while reading this.  I thought it was a creature that, when played, caused you to immediately equip a shield from your deck or hand.

Ah I see. But without gravity pull, this card is sort of useless no?
Also, for bonewall, it takes one of the counters right? So if you had 7x bone walls and you played a squire, it'd be 6x.
If you have no cards and you play it then it's useless...which I think the arena AI will do a lot
