IDEA:
moomoose
NOTES:
the restraints/chains are placed surrounding the creature's card on the field, and is targetable as if it were the creature card.  each turn, the creature who is restrained is unable to attack the opponent (unless they have momentum) and unable to use their abilities (if applicable) until 10 damage is done to the restraints.  if the restrained creature does not have momentum, they will attack the restraints each turn until they are freed.  the restraints surrounding the creature are targetable by skills, spells and abilities- but only damaging effects on them will really do anything worthwhile (ie dont bother casting adrenaline on them, or momentum, or basilisk blood, or heal, etc etc), but gravity pull may be a good idea... -holy flash will deal damage to the restraints.  the restrained creature is not targetable while restrained.

this will obviously be most useful on creatures with powerful skills/abilities but low attack values.  creatures with large attack values will probably break free relatively quickly.

Cool idea, moomoose, though I think a bit overcosted (3 | 2 seems better IMO). Anyway, just a thought: you said healing wouldn't be much good. What about if you heal a restrained creature, the restraints get more HP?

Great Idea. But I have another question. What happens if you play Quintessence on an restraint creature? Will Restraint end like freeze does?

"the restrained creature is not targetable while restrained." so you would basically be targeting the chains by mistake and making them untargetable, so only the creature itself could attempt to break free.

Very interesting. I find it a bit too expensive though. The closest CC spell would be Basilisk blood which last 6 turn (> average lasting of this spell) and cost 2 :earth | 1 :earth. Obviously the 20 HP obtained at the end do not make such a big difference when you talk about the CC ability ...

Even 4 | 3 seems a bit pricey. Maybe even make it like 2 | 2 and have differing values of HP for the chains?

Really cool card idea, I'm guessing the chains count as being on your side of the board? Weird (unreliable) to have your enemy attack the chains to free your creature when G-Forcing, on cards with one or zero attack this could be seriously tricky to counter.

Wasn't there a vine idea similar to this? I just don't remember the name or who did it.
