I just wonder why this weak stall, when you got 2 purifies, and probably could rush over.
Also wondering about death's strategy with the double decks. Isn't a single deck better?
Well, seeing the situation, if I was Aether I'd play something rather weak, using Vault scraps, against practically everyone this round.
The reasoning is simple: they are strongly in the lead, their opponents have very limited Vaults that they very likely don't know all about, and the Event sucks for the leading team - less deckbuilding advantage. So I'd go scouting with some sacrificable decks, in order to learn what to expect and prepare accordingly in the ensuing rounds. By losing 30 cards from that deck, Aether's power is only slightly touched, and Death either chooses no salvages - thus Aether has gained information on their Vault without strengthening them - or they choose to salvage, stretching their Vault pretty much to oblivion. It's a win-win situation for Aether.
Of course, I wouldn't send complete suicides, and this is a pretty decent deck against death (the amount of shields is ridicolous, Dragons are few later in War, and Death's PC is gone, plus Purify saves them from Poison). But yeah, I think I can see why Aether chose such a strategy.
