Unfortunately I'm just to busy to stay active on these forums much anymore.  With writing a dissertation and looking for a job I just don't have the time I used to devote to elements when I used to do more lab work.  You just can't type a 400 page paper and also spend hours on the forums.  Quite honestly I've put very little time into the actual game in several months as my life and responsibilities have shifted.  Its been a great time and I've met many friends, but it is time to depart.

Sorry Team :gravity for leaving in our darkest hour, but this is unfortunately unavoidable.  Here's hoping you guys the best going forward.

I will definately stop by and say hi from time to time and check out what new changes zanz has made to the game.  You may even see decks pop up from time to time that I have laying around as I find them.  I will finish my uber guide to deckbuilding sometime soon, when have a free moment on a weekend.

Well, this is the first "goodbye" topic I've felt the need to respond to.

I owe a lot to you.  You are responsible for getting me involved in this community, staying with it, and overall loving this game more and more as each day passes.  You took the time aside to listen to any crazy ideas I had with an open mind and gave me as much constructive criticism as possible in exchange.  I'm normally against the idea of saying that no one can replace members who are leaving, but honestly, I can't see too many people taking the place of everything that you've put into this community.

I'll try my best to continue deck testing even while you're gone :)

Best of luck as you move forward in life; I know great things await you in the future.

Same goes for me Will.
I gotta say I don't have much more to add, except that I know exactly what you mean. Ever since I got employed (like this past week...) I feel that the pressure is building up. Studying and games are easy to combine, a full-time job and games are something different.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck irl! You are gonna be missed and I really do hope you stop by now and then ;)

Ah, the curse of real life produces another casualty.

Like willng3 said, finding a replacement won't be that easy this time around. Thanks for all your hard work on all those different projects of yours, as well as in the Council.

Good luck to you in the future.

I'm very sorry you have to leave. I've always looked up to you as a great player and a good person. I really hope everything improves for you IRL, and your checking in becomes more and more frequent.

Best of luck.

An era doesn't end with one person; it ends when another begins. You started an era of scientific deckbuilding, and there are many left who employ it and keep that spirit alive.
If it had ended with you, it would've ended a while ago when you became much less active.

This isn't a loss; everyone have to focus on real life in periods. That always fluctuates. No, the community gained from having you and what you brought here stays here.
That's how a community develops. It's organic, and we're all part of it. You can always return to see the traces you left, as we all can.

I guess that jmdt was speaking more like about his personal era in life (as an active member here etc) and about the end of that.

Anyway, bye Jimmy and good luck!
