Special thanks to Werdbooty and vrt for inspiration.
Rune Sword's ability target's a creature's ability and makes it it's own, sort of like a reverse endow. Once the ability is copied, it costs quantum of your mark.
I also did a search and would like to note there is a card (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,10345.0.html) with a similar name made by Dramore.

When in play, the ability is called "Imbue". (thanks Emeraldtiger)

Tiny tiny suggestion. For the Darkness ability, rather than make it Liquid Shadow, make it so it says, "Target creature gains -1|-0, and this weapon gains +1|+0". A unique charge function that weakens opposing creatures.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

Good idea. I'll change the Darkness ability to that instead.

Apologies for double post.
I was going to submit this to crucible, but a litte feedback from chat altered my opinion slightly.

[03:58:58] vrt: 'copy target permanent's ability'.
[03:59:09] vrt: That's just a random stab, though.
Are there any other suggestions on how to make this card less complicated?

I think to make this less complicated you would need to change the idea completely and make it a different card.  Or just make a new weapon series... I hesitate to suggest that, though, since series tend to dominate the Crucible polls!

You've also given me an interesting idea.  *cackles*

Copying target permanent's ability sounds really vague, and also complicated. xD  Does it copy passive abilities, like a Sundial's nocreaturesattackthisturn effect? The active abilities, like Sundial's Hasten? Both?  Will a Sundial-fused RS be destroyed after one turn?  What happens when you target a weapon/shield?  Will the attack stats stack, and will Rune Sword both attack and offer DR?
I also think there's going to be a permanent where this will have too much synergy with.

I think it's fine as it is.  Take Mutation for example.  The description says "Mutate the target creature into an abomination, unless it dies... or turn into something weird."  If you were new to the game, what would you make out of this?  It would sound complicated to me.  But there's a reason it's in the game, right?

Interesting concept. xD  For the Life ability though, I can only think of 1 creature with less than 3 attack...

There are precious few non-weapon permanents with active abilities, which is what I assume vrt meant by "stealing ability."  Hourglass, Sundial, Mindgate, and Unstable Gas are the only ones, I think the shields are all passives.  But an exploding sword would be pretty cool, I guess!

I'm not really a fan of the :air ability. Let's say I take in in my :air deck, I play it, target an :air card, then use it to buff my.... nymph?

Maybe the :air version could Dive one Airborne creature at the cost of a couple of its HP... "I fling my bird at you!"
