So at first, it was xdude and I playing fire vs. fire, i thought this is gonna be rush vs. rush. Then xdude starts pulling out fire shields and fire bolts, then I look at his +10 cards in deck and I'm thinking ohhhh sh**. But things get worse, he starts killing off my angels faster than I can draw them/heal them. I'm sitting there with a lone phoenix who keeps dying to fire shield and a morning star, whittling him down to 30 life. I throw out an angel with RP, another phoenix, revive my other phoenix and do enough damage to win.. unexpectedly.

xdude's bans
permafrost: light has no PC of its own, and ryan is likely to ban both steal and deflag, which makes permafrost very much a threat (this also eliminates ice bolt/miracle stall pretty much)
phase shield: light has some of the strongest creatures (fire excluded), which can bust through most other shields, this however is different...
EQ: light is like aether, very expensive creatures that have very good quality
gravity shield: perhaps the ultimate counter to light...
antimatter: perhaps the second ultimate counter to light...
fractal: this is one of the more interesting bans, light doesn't have too much to offer when fractal is concerned, i see only RoL/hope being a fractal light deck

exact same bans, only different being that ryan banned SoG over EQ, we will see how that works for him

did these two agree to ban the same cards or something? with only one difference, neither has too much of an advantage, i like the EQ ban more than SoG ban tho, as EQ puts quite the dent to any light deck pretty much.

Do not confuse bans with plans. Banning EQ means I don't want Ryan to use it, not that I want to use it.

If you plan to ban the EQ to use a high cost creature while EQ'ing his (Which is completely fine and acceptable, since Light and Earth have awesome synergies), that's still a valid point.

I kept 2 Nymphs in my hand, to lure him to play moar crits, and started with an Archangel. I saw a SoG and realized he had GPulls in that decker. We desynched, and I went on to pwn the AI, and my AI didn't disappoint, pwning him as well. 1 - 0
