Lately, some of you may have noticed that you're randomly logged out on the forums, and you may have received an e-mail informing you that there have been a number of failed login attempts from a certain IP.
This has spread to a rather large scale, and is the work of keylogger software that logs you out, and then registers your keystrokes as you type in your password to log in again.
If this has happened to you, do NOT log back in immediately. Instead, log in with an on-screen keyboard by typing your pass outside the forums and pasting it into the login field. Then change your password ASAP. If you enter your password with your manual keyboard, you run the risk of the keylogger finding out your password.
On-screen keyboards come with every Windows OS I know of, and can be found in Accessories. If you don't have one, just Google it.
I've personally tried purging my system from pre-boot, but it only reduced the number of attempts. It may be a problem with the forum software as such.
These forum account hack attempts may spread to your in-game account as well. Protect yourself. Lady Aether out.
Edit: Adding a bit of info for users who have been locked out of their forum accounts. Yes, you should use the secure login link given to you in e-mail. Change your password from there, using the above method.
