Cool art, looks like a giant mosquito! Absorbs from you karis... Anyway, I think such a card could only be viable in rainbows, right?

no.  it can't absorm from me.  cuz  i'm don't wanna use this card.  even if it don't have element to cost  but 5 is a bit high for that absorm blood ability   don't forget that you get only 1 dmg profit for this creature.  (don't even think about shield or other card like antimatter)

ok.  if it absorb yourself.   this ability are 'passive'(like swarm or something) or 'unactive skill'(vampire)

IMHO, 4/5 AND 6/5 would be balanced as well.. mono colors would be better off using another single color creature with much better damage:quanta ratio, while this card's power should be high enough to convince rainbow players to include this in place of some other important card..

Very interesting. More cards like this need to come out; more powerful than they should be for their cost, but have a negative side.  Just like what I'm doing for my Mage series.

_____

OK thematically; I think this should be a specific element.  I understand the thinking behind Other I think, but it doesn't feel right for what it is.  Perhaps water.  And just go into Photoshop and adjust the levels to make the reds become blue.  But its whatever.

Secondly, I'm not trying to like tromp on your idea, but hear me out; as far as the name, I'm not crazy about Blood Striker/Assassin.  That sounds like a humanoid creature like a black ninja with red highlights.  But when I look at this creature, I think of something more like a leech.  Maybe Leech Striker?  Feels a bit more appropriate for what it looks like.  I really like the image though!  Did you use some sort of reference or was it just purely your imagination?  Looks very cool, but I really feel that you could develop it further.  More detail/shading, and you'd have an ace picture.

Blood Parasite? Sanguinary Leech? Hematophage Insect?

For the element, i'm set on using Other, unless I get enough people to support the creation of a new element (not a 13th element, but a 14th classification).

As for the name, maybe I should just switch the image out to a more scary-looking thing that looks like it can do 5 dmg?
IDK, I don't think you'd expect a leech that looks like that to be a mid-sized attacker.

I can understand why this card has a drawback, because it is basically a  :rainbow Abomination.  However, raising the attack by 1 would be appropriate.

i agree, for a cost of 5, the net difference in damage is 1 and 2 to your opponent, respectively.  that's a really high price to pay for such a low net differential damage.  raise the attack, lower the "absorb", and/or reduce the cost.  also, spell out the mechanic in the notes section, explaining what absorb means (the player controlling the creature is the one that loses the health?) so people dont have to scan through the thread to find an explanation.
