to think this card wanna use with your pillar.  i'm think it's will be better if  it drain your HP when activate then protect youself.    cuz you can heal youself by pillar while this thing protecting you.   but not sure, that only my though.

I don't understand how this would change anything, assuming that you can't heal up to max HP by the time it is destroyed. I think it's better that you can delay the damage, and that you can potentially be pwned.

I agree with the other members, this card is really UP... if played in mid game, while the opponent already has quite a few creatures down, would be destroyed in 1 turn, thus being incredibly sub par compared with other shields.. And without even mentioning the massive HP loss..

What do you think about this mechanic?

"Reduces physical damage by X / Absorbs X damages: your maximum HP reduces by X per turn"

More in line with a blood shield, which sucks your own blood to defend yourself, I think

reduced by a maximum of 4, absorbs 5 hp per turn sounds reasonable enough for me

I'd go for 5 or even 6 red /5 hp per turn. After all, there's diamond shield to consider.

How so?
if it blocks 5 or 6 damage for just 5 hp a turn
it would be better than permafrost (in most cases) against FGs, this is even easier the get out than permafrost (this costs random quanta)
and since SoGs are in almost every FG deck, the 5 hp drain is not much of a problem
