I don't feel this represents Fire too well. it's basically a healing card, with small CC. I'd made give it a Burn effect. Make it like poison, but only lasts 3 turns and stacks. I know burn would be like a weakened poison, but keep the +0/+1 effect for fire creatures that are targeted, maybe make it +1/+1, or +1/0 since fire is all about power. Basically, non-fire creatures targeted by this get the burn effect.

I got you.  I'm aiming to keep the healing aspect so that it works well as with Rage Elixer, but I could definitely try to add in that burn effect you mentioned.

Perhaps instead of the burn effect (which adds some unneeded complexity to the card), I will just change it to +0/-2 when used on non-fire creatures.  So not as strong as Sniper, but still helpful.

I neither understand nor see a reasonable excuse as to how Fire the element of destruction and damage could heal.

The idea behind it is to make more use of the Rage Potion/Elixir that the Fire possess.  Right now the only the rare Red/Fire Nymph can use a Rage Elixir without it killing itself.

As far as thematically, I reason that while a fire is fragile, it isn't just stagnant.  Fire grows and spreads to other places, increasing the difficulty to destroy.  So while healing shouldn't become a major part of the element, I think it still has its place.

If I'm way of the mark here, I can definitely do something like this;

I think just having the Ruby grow in HP would be wise.

I agree that flames can spread but I did not associate that with healing but instead with spawning. However the spreading could also be represented as the slow HP gain you are suggesting.

OK cool, I've amended the card; its ability now powers up fire creatures instead of healing them.  Also tweaked passive ability of Ruby Gem and increased its price by 1 :fire

Thanks for the help

Still doesn't fit :fire theme in the sense that the gem gains HP. Fire is the element where creatures have low HP but high burst attacks.

I'm trying to create alternatives in strategy, if I just do yet another high attack low defense creature, it either would have to be better than any of the current cards but then none of the others will be used, or have it be worse than another fire creature and it never be used.

Same kind of thing I explained on the Emerald Stone thread.  Let me know what you think.

Well, traditional medicine requires fire. Also, meditation can sometimes use heat to heal.

Here is where I have a small problem. It's the view of "It can't be done cause it means this not that." Frist this is a forum for new ideason the elements. Here everyone should think up ways on how to change an element to better fit the essence of that element.  Ok ok now that my rant is out of the way. I agree fire should not "heal" itself or other cards after all Fire is all about distruction. Now on the card gaining hp I see as fine because fire can grow also the way it's set up now it's not
"healing". It's gains 1or 2 point of hp per turn and it's max hp is raised along with it but it's doesn't recover the damage that has been done to it without other cards like ArchAngle. Also I like the other ability too. Maybe call it something like "Touch of Flame". Increases fire cards attack and hurts"burns" non fire cards. Over all good job on the card.
