Both games I started off with fail draws.  I went quite a few turns in without drawing mp.  Thankfully, I was able to draw the lightning to kill most of his gargoyles before he had a chance to raise their hp.  1st game I took control after the 1st fractal and won shorthly thereafter.  2nd match lasted long enough that he was able to BB 6 of my phoenx on the first fractal.   It took the second fractal to get damage on the table.  I won with 6 hp left.  Had he drew a drain life on the last round I would have lost.  Winning pics are posted below.
