If you want the deck to fit the theme you've given it, I'd swap out frogs for spirits, why not graboids if you want creatures that will gain attack/defense using certain quanta.
lava golems are the best creatures in the game cause I said so

I like the forest spirit idea. The gabroid need 2 nova to cast and the idea is that you can cast any of these creatures with one nova and all of them with three. This might give you more consistency over the usual psnbow

I say no to Forest Spirits, and here's why:
Frogs deal constant 5 damage.
Spirits start with 1|1 and assuming you get a constant supply of :water, it would take 5 turns before your damage output would equal that of your frog.  Also, it would take 3 Supernovae to make this happen which seems to be against what you're looking for.  Forest Spectres are also out of the question since they cost 3 :life.  You might be able to get away with 1 Spirit and 2 Frogs, but certainly not replacing all 3.

I think this looks rather nice. I'll have to try with with the pendulums unupped though (I'm not rich to the point of all upped towers and pendulums yet :P)

You can try that but just be aware it will likely be not nearly as effective as the original due to the decks reliance on getting 2 entropy quanta after the first turn. With upped pendelums, 1 is enough and what you get most often. With unupped, if you get 1 pendelum it will take you 3 turns just to get 2 entropy quanta to use the snovas.

I was aware of the issue before and it doesn't matter now. I've managed to get the money for the upped pendulums now. (I already had everything else)

If you wanted the deck to fit the THEME you've given it, then spirits would be ok. I think you should base the deck on graboids if you want that speed growth, 1 fire master and 2 graboids in place, switch mark to earth, and you're pretty much set.
