ART: somadjinn SOURCE IDEA: Hyroen NOTES: Spoiler for Shield Form: Intricate card that deserves some attention. We will use the unupgraded Azure Fan for the following example. Once you play Azure fan, it gives 4 points of damage to the enemy at the end of your turn. On your following turn you may use its active ability, Nimble for 1 . Upon using this, Azure Fan (weapon form) is removed* from play and Azure Fan (shield form) enters your shield slot replacing any shield that was there before. Upon having received Azure Fan (shield form) you must wait until your next turn to use Nimble again for 1 and place an Azure Fan (weapon form) replacing your weapon if desired. In this manner you may indeed have an Azure Fan in both your weapon and your shield slots, each doing different things. If Azure Fan has Flying Weapon used on it, a 4|2 creature is summoned with the active skill Nimble. If this skill is used, an Azure Fan (shield form) is placed in your shield slot replacing whatever was there before and etc. *I choose the word "removed" in case a card that has an effect triggered upon permanent "destruction" is produced. Nimble would not trigger permanent "destruction". SERIES:

Looks interesting, but I'm not sure if the shield form is that efficient. (I mean it costs 3 upped, 4 unupped) How about make it block 5-15 points of damage? (if no more damage can be blocked, the shield will not be destroyed, but it won't block any more damage until it is reverted to weapon and back to shield)

Intuitively, I'd think yes and yes.

i'm don't like it...

ah.. no  i'm don't meaning i'm don't like this card   but i don't like your idea about flying weapon form.

animate weapon is air  right?  that's why i'm think it should still be creature even if you use nimble again when it already be creature, not turn into permanent again, that make animate weapon freely useless.

what about don't change it into permanent?   and so many shield from can stack it defence power?

I like the over all concept. Altho I don't think just blocking 1 point of damage would be very effective. Could do it something like Bonewall where it blocks so many attacks reguardless of attack power.(I think that fits more with the word nimble too.)Tho with that only 3 or 4 attack then it has to be switched back to the weapon and back to the shield to renew the blocked attacks. Also unlike Bonewall it would not grow. By blocking a set number of attacks in most cases you woulb block more overall damage than just blocking 1 point and with a limited number it wouldn't be OP. Just a thought tho.

If this weapon wants to remain as a common, then I believe it best for the shield effect to remain as-is.  This is a great idea though; I never would have thought to convert a weapon to a shield or vice-versa.
