About naming decks

I'm currently moving some decks to Deck Archive (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,177.0.html) for easy access, but I'm having some problems because some of the decks have lame/weird/boring/too long names.

Naming decks should be easy. Just take something from the deck and use it to come up with a name. Lets have an example from the world of books. Which of these 3 is the correct way of naming a book?

1. "Douglas Adams' Book"
2. "Book about Earth getting demolished, this guy goes on an space adventure, robots, two heads, towel, dolphins, 421 pages"
3. "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"


I've seen a lot of #1 where a deck idea is called "BillyBob's False God Deck". Those kinds of names are lame and lack personality. I think anyone can come up with better than that.

#2 is also pretty popular. Here you list all the facts about your deck using comma as a separator. It's not so much as a name but a table of contents. Just give the deck a name. You can talk about all those details inside the topic.

Yes, the correct answer is of course #3. Short and sweet, and gives your deck idea a "soul".

The purpose of a Douglas Adams novel is to entertain. A post about a certain deck however should be analytical and informative. The thread title should reflect that by giving the reader a precise conception of what to expect. It should't be some random blurb that has nothing to do with Elements. If I'm looking for a supernova-based anti-FG deck I don't want to look inside all of the threads. Therefore, option #2 is correct.

When you give a short and unique name to a deck, it's much easier to actually talk about that deck. If a person posted multiple FG decks, all with the naming system you suggest, what would you call those decks? How would that conversation happen, lets say it chat for example.

Not having real names is boring and lame. Lets take MrSexington as an example. His deck PvP is called "Rage Quit Deck". That's a cool and catchy name, and everyone knows what deck we are talking about. Would you rather have him just list all the cards on the deck or something?

I've learned giving my decks unique names helps people remember them.  When I pull out my flying arseninc deck, someone will be like 'is that divine arsenics praying for a miracle'.  That lets me know I did my job naming the deck.
