What A Shrieking Nightmare https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=10800.msg132830#msg132830

This is my basic idea for a super denial deck.  In tesing it can completely lock down monos and duos.

The basic idea is: 1st) quicksand to destroy their pillars and stop quanta production, 2nd) pests to suck up remaining quanta, 3rd) nightmare to prevent draw and further cut of their options, and 4th) Shriekers to decimate them while they are helples.

I used gargoyles first, but I like running earth heavy to get a first turn quicksand and shriekers do more damage.

Enjoy, and let me know any suggestion you have?

I updated the deck after doing some live PvP testing.  Yet me know what you think.

Add some steal and take out 1-2 nightmare and earthquake?
It helps when against early SoGs and can get the Pendulums.

I don't see how Nightmare is preventing your opponent from drawing? All it does is filling his hand with creatures that he can just discard. The only time Nightmare prevents from drawing is when your opponent has 8 cards and wants to draw a card with Hourglass or Sundial.

you play nightmare in your turn, your opponent discard at end of turn.

Is it good with the dark cards unupped? I can afford to do all the earth.
Yeah, I tested various combinations unupped to see how well the concept works.  The dark cards will work fine unupped,  the earth cards are the more important cards to upgrade.  The pests will have less hp, but the shriekers will be the main target (if they can do anything) and you can burrow them anyways.

Revisiting this deck, does anyone have a suggestion to help take out supernova/cremeation decks.  I can shut down normal decks quick usually, but I have no chance against decks with extra quanta generation outside of pillars.  Sadly earth/dark does not give a great deal of CC options.

I have a feeling to get what I want, I will either need a trio (gravity added) and/or expand the deck to closer to 40 card with steals, BB, SoG, etc which may ruin what the deck is currently good at.

Use nightmare on their creatures, there is no way they will be able to play every signle Lava Destoryer or whatever card.

The problem is, with cremeation they can get a quanta burst and get critters out 1st turn that you have no way to deal with.  IF they have a bad draw, yes nightmare can stall them out.
