Basically, you play the vampires to ensure that you don't die immediately, the dragons for extra damage,  and the drain lifes are used as creature control and as extra damage/elemental mastery setup. The eclipses help to deal more damage and to keep your vampires alive longer. I don't keep any stats, but it seems to do fairly well against AI5- Mostly victories, a mastery here and there, a few defeats when you don't start with enough pillars.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but that one animate weapon makes it a duo. It has dark cards, and an air card.

Oh, whoops. Ach, I need to pay more attention to that. 
Eh, does it really count? The upgraded Animate Weapon may be an air card, but it can use any quanta. So even though the deck uses only darkness quanta, it's not a mono dark?

Technically yes. Animate weapon has an background, which makes it an card, even if the quanta used to play it comes from elsewhere.

The animate weapon is basically useless in the deck anyway. I would replace it and 4 Drain Lifes with 5 Pests.

No, that would make this deck something it isn't. I would just replace the animate with another steal if you want to be mono. Maybe a dragon instead of steal.

Well, I'd probably change a steal and the animate for another vamp. and a dusk mantle, if I wanted to keep the classification; I'll edit the original post sometime later.

Update: Okay, I've changed it. I don't think it'd be as effective, though. Should I repost the original in the duo section? There's really no point in that, though, because it's not that different, and I'm thinking that people usually want to see usage of 2 elements in their duo decks.
