My take on gargoyles https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=10194.msg124116#msg124116

I have seen many similar decks on here but this is just my take.  It uses very few pillars but the devourers slow down your opponent and start getting your quanta going.  I used it in the last tournament and won 4 lost 2 with it.

It wins at an effective rate against level 3 but it is slow and rarely gets mastery.  It does work pretty well in pvp1, which is probably the best place to play it.
Its biggest weakness is probably against faster decks that get a lot of pillars out early because it takes a while to get going and with several pillars out early it wont slow them down much.  If you want to make it faster you can replace one or both nightfalls with pillars.

Strategy: Play devourers first and burrow.  Play gargoyles then stone form and liquid shadow.  Liquid shadow can also be used to lobotomize and kill any especially pesky creatures.  I usually only play dusk mantle if there are no gargoyles to play but you may need to play it earlier sometimes.   Finally play nightfall to increase your attack and healing.
