The ghosts themselves could sense their surroundings, but could not directly interact with them unless they contained a soul to feed upon. Corpses did not matter to them, although one trio of ghosts were near such a body.

To the northwest, the ghosts were unsure about which direction to go; the sounds of splashing to the east as well as the huddling and sprinting of people between the dungeon walls were both equally enticing. Similarly, to the southeast, the ghosts decided to head in different directions caused by the sounds of flame and chain, and the whimsical sound of papers flapping furiously in the darkness.

To the southwest and northeast however, the ghosts decided to hone in on targets that seemed... far too easy to pass up. And the guardian himself decided to hide; a wonderful game has begun for him, most certainly.

Ginyu stood completely still. He was horrified.

As the ghost to the southeast floated in a dreadful behavior, seeking out its nearest target, it decided to head towards the switch to the south of Ginyu; Gin quickly moved to where the ghost was patrolling, hoping it wouldn't seek a return path, and flushed out the burns with used fountain water. The Arsonist Oil all over the map was waiting to set aflame those who let their blood spill as incendiary material. He moved upward hoping that the ghost wouldn't hear his footsteps...

-----------------------

To the north, qwerter was exhausted. His :earth key was useless without the cooperation of his nearby teammates, nor could he do much besides move quickly thanks to the power of one of :gravity's relics. He knew that someone held the rest of them on a ring, but who?

He panted. *gasp pant sigh gasp* Catching his breath. It was exhausting. The thinking and the movement was just too much.

But did he think about the looming shadow stalking right behind him?

-----------------------

The other phantoms weaved their way around the dungeon, looking for nearby souls to destroy for the sake of their master. Some were close (far too close perhaps), but not quite accurate enough to seal the deal...

Tips and General Info:
-Time-stamp has been correctly updated to ensure that people have until -MIDNIGHT-, PST, to send in their moves. When the host begins updating however, you are not allowed to change it.
-I WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING CHAT PM MOVES. You are now required to send in your moves via the forum, or else they will not count. I will also no longer remind individual players if they did not send a forum PM containing their moves, in order to reduce workload and streamline move efficiency.

-Heavenly Fan cannot kill you if you are blown into a ghost (or a ghost is blown into your tile directly). However, it will still 'damage' you if you are blown into a Danger tile (^, !, X), or into a tile where there are Necromancy-affected corpses.

-Guardian Uses:
  • Necromancy
  • Endanger (B15)

-Relics used:
  • Heavenly Fan
  • Nourishing Molasses

He had just left the dungeon. It was bright outside. Sunny, warm even.

As RavingRabbid had left the terrifying halls of the Relic-construct, he couldn't help but notice that his gifts were not truly enough; a breastplate, while glowing in the sun, was something that could be easily bought or crafted from some of the finer blacksmiths of the realm. The spyglass, although more useful, would not bedazzle anyone that laid eyes on it. And the tonsil was... well, a tonsil.

Staring deep inside one of the doorways, he decided to leap inside to claim more proof of his victory upon this oversized treasure chest... and the sound of him screaming was all that remained moments later as a ghost took his life upon his reentry.

A woman however, who was trailing him, knew better. Hopefully her companion was doing the work he needed him to do.

-----------------------

And that's what the soldier did.

After tricking a nearby leader of explorers with his Falcon, he managed to snatch the elusive chain-like weapon, called 'Treachery'. But he wasn't done. He waited quickly by the fountain in the south, noting that someone would seek it soon enough as temporary refuge against the ghastly demons that were wandering the halls.

Linkcat had no idea what had occurred, but only remembered what he was planning to do; anyone who would dare take whatever water was remaining from the fountain would instead taste the hard part of his big iron fist.

...but that's not what happened.

Linkcat remained on the ground, suffering a serious concussion from a boy who called himself 'dawn' for short; the ghosts were coming, and between the two of them, only one was mobile.

-----------------------

The guardian's energy ran low as he became visible again. (Awesome! One down... how many more to go again?)

I really like the lore Kuro, you're doing great job writing this stuff, I really enjoy it! :)

Well, my lore was pretty crappy at first, but I've been spicing it up as of late because GHOSTZ. :P

When a second ghost disappears after a kill, where can the new ghost spawn and how much control do I have over choosing the spawn point?
When a new ghost spawns, but the turn is not yet over, can the ghost instantly move that turn, potentially chasing other players?

I shall post these answers in the thread shortly. ;)

When a new ghost spawns, it always spawns to the nearest 'corner 'L' wall' found in the quadrants of the map. So if the ghost kills a player on say, H7, and a new ghost is to be spawned, it'll be spawned in the corner wall to the northwest (specifically on the '#' wall tile that doesn't rotate).

Sadly no, when the new ghost spawns, it must wait for the next day to move. This might change however if the map remains static. >_>

As the solider named 'dawn' quickly smirked to himself, a flash of light quickly shone down on Linkcat; the so-called concussion was gone, and dawn found himself looking at the taller ringleader of the criminals. Linkcat was merely raising his right eyebrow in disdain of the boy in front of him.

dawn muttered, "Aw S**T.". Both of their bodies went to battle.

The shadowy chain quickly darted towards Linkcat, piercing him once more in the knee where his newly swapped Relic resided, the shell of the mask pressing hard against his skin. But the leader knew that his allies were supporting him; a moment later, an arctic breeze and cloud swarmed the room, causing dawn to slip on the floor. Linkcat was unaffected by the cold, but dawn's body began to suffer immediate blistering from the icy dagger-like magic summoned from the north, and dawn had no choice but to retreat. Both of them were in major pain.

Linkcat however, ignored his body's desperation and quickly followed. "Well, this is gonna be fun."

...and the ghost behind also followed. The sound of darts being sharpened in a room northeast echoed as the ghost lurked on.

-----------------------

To the west, CoffeeDitto quickly looked around the heavy breathing of a ghost honed in on him. Where was it coming from? How close was it? WHY COULDN'T HE SEE IT?!

And then, to the west, he saw it. A blank face with milky pupils. No mouth. A nose so flat that it would be comical if it weren't for the darkness of the room. The sounds of snakes to the south did not help with the dangerous situation.

"SUBBBBB!!! HEEELLLPPP MMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

And then it happened. The ghost quickly lowered itself into the floor, its unorthodox and undefined shape trying to grasp for Coffee's legs. But Coffee pulled out a stunt that only veteran raiders would be able to pull off; he somersaulted over the ghost and sprinted towards the west, frantically screaming and calling for his teammates help. He closed his eyes and waved his arms hysterically; his heavy Judgement dropped onto the floor in the same room that Submachine managed to spot him in.

"Coffee! COFFEE! Stop! Calm down, I'm her-
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"JUST WAI-"

Coffee had completely lost it. The weeks that were spent in the dungeon, trying to ration out food had made him lose his sanity, and as Coffee fled, Submachine quickly equipped the hammer and looked to the east, wondering if Coffee dropped anything else... only to see the silhouette of a blank face staring back from the abyss.

The sound of an arrow can be as silent as a footstep, depending on the expertise of the archer.

Of course, for a weapon like Precision, no aim was really required. As dawn desperately tried to mend his wounds at a nearby fountain, his body suddenly went limp; no amount of effort made by him could maneuver his position any further. He looked down. An arrow 3 feet long, transparent, and yet still solid as gold was protruding from his chest.

dawn began closing his eyes, realizing that his comrade, the woman in green, would have to work by herself from now on...

Before his hearing could dissipate into nothing but the echoes of the dungeon, he heard the sound of someone trailing not to far behind. Linkcat's steps sounded labored and desperate. The sound of Treachery's chains, and the flapping wings of the caged Courier Falcon were all that were left in the room...

...and then finally, three words. "Thanks for playing." whispered by the ringleader.

-----------------------

Fippe94 wished he had scoured the area sooner.

As he passed by the open chest of Judgement earlier, there was no doubt that other travelers could be nearby, waiting to strike him or others with the immense power of the unknown. He hid behind a pillar with drawings a distracting demon.

But he couldn't hide from the guardian's servants. Gûlutu had unleashed its misery upon him, and the two finally faded into the darkness.

-----------------------

More death for the guardian to take delight in...

He was getting stronger.

Check the other tabs for other useful information regarding your Basic Actions, Relic Precedence, and notes of the overall game!

Tips and General Info:
-Both dawn to dusk and Fippe94 have died. dawn to dusk's relics have been picked up by Linkcat.
-As per rules of ghost resurrection, a new ghost has been summoned now that another player has died on Tile E23.
-ALL relics that Fippe94 had have now been dropped on that tile (K22)! This includes the following:
  • Energy Ring
  • Voluminous Chains
  • Yodeling Bunchie
-antiaverage's abilities have been slightly buffed/changed. Here are the current changes as of now (note that 'LU' or limited use abilities haven't been refreshed):
  • Sleepwalk (EoR): You can move four an additional 2 tiles during the current turn in any direction. but your ghosts are put to sleep (i.e. - immobilized).
    • Change: Ghosts are no longer immobile when Sleepwalk is activated. Reworded for clarity. Cooldown now EoR
  • Endanger (ER): Transforms a visible '.' (blank) tile into a '^' trap, or upgrades a current trap into a more deadly one (i.e. - '^' -> '!', or '!' -> 'X'). Transforming a tile with a player on it does not harm them if they move out of that tile by the end of the day. Can be used twice on the same day.
    • Endanger can be used twice to allow for double traps to be thrown down. Note that antiaverage is still vulnerable to his own traps.
  • Possess (ER): Move one dead player (corpse) up to three squares in any direction/path you wish. YOU are immobilized during this use however.
    • Removed and merged with Necromancy.
  • Revert (2U): Restore 25 HP to yourself, but you must choose five (5) used fountain tiles ('`') to be restored back to their original '*' non-used state. Failure to choose fountains will result in all dead players being revived.
    • No changes.
  • Necromancy (EoR): Move ALL dead players (corpses) up to three squares in any direction/path you wish. All dead players the current day are given 'Assault Stance', and will deal 20 damage to any alive player (except you) who enters their tile. They are not revived nor pick up relics if they kill someone via this ability.
    • Can now affect player movements as well as allow them to deal damage to anyone who enters their 'path of death/fire'. There are no mobility drawbacks to using Necromancy (i.e. - antiaverage can still move while using this ability, unlike Possess).
  • Vanish (1U): You become invisible for the next two days. but all damage you take during the current day and while invisible is tripled
    • Removed the debuff regarding increased damage taken.

-Guardian Uses:
  • Endanger (E16)
  • Possess

-Relics used:
  • Precision
  • Cauterizer
  • Amnesia
  • Zombie Tumor
