Almost anything?
That said, I think there are two things that should be added to the current terrain:
1) More volcanoes. Something tells me that two volcanoes that are 2 hexes away from each other (whereas the Fire's Fast Travel, Phoenix Rider, can go up to a potential six hexes) seems really limiting in how far Fire can travel compared to the other elements. I'd say you should place one near the Mountains around the Earth area (hex 32?) or one near the Air's city (hex 88).
Other than that, I'm not really sure of what else you can throw on there. ^^;;; Looks pretty crowded everywhere you go, and it seems that you're putting the Capital City of of Omniton into a lake based on your current changes...
"almost anything" as in we won't be doing any "delete everything and start from scratch" type of deals. Also the Capital City locations are fixed.
Ah, the Volcano thing.. yes that needs to be fixed. I'm not sure how many we will have. I think we should have maybe 2 that are not next to
Capital City. The problem is also that Volcanos should be put in a place where they make sense. If someone has any ideas, let me know.
Anything, you say...
Roads. Players can set up roads that reduce the cost of moving across territory. I GOTZ to have roads. TT_TT
Also, if need be, creating a second map that is actually a subterranean version of this one would be fantastic. It would provide more benefits for elements such as Earth, Death, Darkness, while allowing for new events such as undiscovered species, meteorites, and vast caverns of crystal, which can be used to increase the power of elemental energy.
Yes, roads have been discussed before. Currently players can move 1 hex per turn. Problem with roads is that they might make moving around too fast, especially if combined with fast travel. Roads would probably be optimal if they increased movement about 50%, but unfortunately we don't that option, so they would have to increase movement by 100%. That might be too much, I don't know.
One option would be of course to let players
build roads. That would have to be very expensive though, and it would have to be limited somehow so that we don't get a map that is full of roads.
Subterranean version was also discussed before. It will most likely happen at some point, just not right now. We need to run one WoE first to make sure everything works as intended, then add more stuff like new maps etc.
Thanks for suggestions.
