1. I'd rather have a perfectly balanced map than a MMORPG-type map.
2. I'd rather have 1 big Map than a few layers, each with 2-4 elements on them.
So yeah, that's what I wanted to say.
I agree completely and wholeheartedly with these statements, although I doubt the second is possible.
SG, people don't like the idea of a non-symmetrical (Or even) map, because it means that one team will be given the advantage, and because of that another team(s) must be at a disadvantage, or at least a comparative one. Trying to compensate for one disadvantage by giving an advantage cannot and never will be balanced, meaning one team will come out "On top" with advantages, and very likely have a much easier time beating the others.
I think there's something in mini's idea for capitals and marks though, why not have players be able to use the marks of their allied cities, and perhaps buy them in their respective capital cities for a substantial amount of whatever currency we use (Will it be electrum?).
Because trying to take over the Time capital with nothing other than a deck with both 50% Earth cards (?) and an Earth mark is a dismal prospect, although it can be done.
