Like I said before, if organizers can participate, I'd be more than happy to do a harder job, such as being the Fight Organizer.

From the organizers, I think the fight organizer and the mover should be able to participate, the others not, because they would have unfair knowledge.

For the fight organizer it depends on what his job will be, If everyone has to pm their decks, he can't participate either, because he would know what cards everyone uses, so he will know how to counter them when fighting them.

If the organizer can do his or her job without getting an advantage, he or she will be able to join.

There are some tricks we can use that might remove the advantage part, like using randomizers and premade lists. I'll talk about those later. But it could be that quest organizer needs access to secret areas, in which case he/she cannot participate. We'll see.

On option is of course that the organizer participates as a neutral player (moves around the map but doesn't actually fight). Probably makes no sense but I'm just brainstorming here.

Fight organizer can participate because there's no PM'ing decks or anything like that, and matches are decided based on a formula.

if the quest organizer keeps track of who completed which quests, then it makes sense that they need access to the other teams' threads, so yes, i suppose he/she shouldnt be able to participate. but as far as MAKING the quests go, im your man :P

Not offering to be an organizer, but I thought i'd let you know that I'm going to use this project for some programming practice, so I may possibly at some undetermined point in the future have a program running that would keep track of the game state for organizational purposes.

Currently i'm just implementing a graph data type to represent the map, and adding a way to store player/deck/card  data.  I'm not well versed in how the rules work right now, so this probably won't be self-updating for a long time, but hopefully I can setup movement between tiles at least.

Hi, Kumlekar. I remember you. :) Welcome back.

Thanks for offering to help, but before you do, please read this: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7674.msg93400#msg93400

Any custom code made "official" and used in these events, must be donated to the community so that if you disappear, someone else can continue your work. I'm telling you this because many coders don't like donating their code, and I don't want you to waste your time if you belong to that group.

If code donating is not problem, knock yourself out. :) Just know that a lot of details about how this event will be run still exists only inside my head. I'm posting them as we go along, but if you want to avoid having to redo things, I recommend you first make sure you have all the details before starting the coding process.

Here's a discussion thread I started. Join the discussion. http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9317.0.html

I would be willing to be an organizer. I know I am new, but I believe I can and will be active enough to handle the responsibility.

Just thinking, if shops and fast travel gain electrum for the team (in person, the king), shouldn't we need some to take care of that?

Yes. We need a dedicated organizer who takes care of fast travel, and fast travel payment.
