I liked almost all of these so I used this as a starting point.
Looking at what this does for deckbuilding, I'm against the entire thing.
Don't let the word "rare" fool you. All crafting skills are Tier 1 skills, easily obtained early in the event. Producing any of these "rare" cards is easy, but requires a bit more time and Electrum than with other cards.


I'd say Maxwell''s makes much more sense for the  :entropy rare than Schrödinger's Cat

So it's safe to assume that if/when the new cards are implemented into the real game, they will not be allowed into WoE?

There was some talk about semi-rare cards in the past, but now that we have 6 different crafting skills, each with 12 rare cards, there's no reason to have these semi-rare cards. In fact, having then would make deckbuilding very difficult because of limited card pool.
Yes, that's what I was trying to say.  I don't think we should make things too hard to build decks.  I was thinking though, since most would agree that some elements have a stronger pool of cards than other elements, we can add extra "rare cards" to those elements to help even the playing field a little.


Here's my take on the different rare cards.  I'm against making an element's only form of CC a rare or making all of an element's CC cards rare cards.  I'm also not so sure about making any PC cards rare either.

All news cards will be added to WoE as they appear. Either we somehow add them to the events, or we simply add them to the store without any backstories.

I added Poison as another rare option along with the original Plague in my table.

Also with Darkness, I'm not sure about taking Drain Life away from them since their only other CC requires a Duo.  I don't like the idea of making their PC rare, but the only other option that I see is not a spell but a permanent—Nightfall.  If we did take Nightfall as their "rare", you could make Time's "spell" "rare" Hourglass instead of Precognition.

12 rare spells should be the alchemy spells IMO. Makes things a lot more simple.
Quint, Unstable Gas, Liquid Shadow, Aflatoxin, Baslisk Blood, Antimatter, Rage Pot, Black Hole, Adrenaline, Lucferin, Precognition, Nymph's Tears

And we already have 12 rare creatures, the nymphs, too bad we can't use those though. But I have a question, how do we craft nymphs in this game?

I'd prefer if the Alchemy cards weren't rares as such, since it makes more sense to make them accessible a different way.

As far as I know, and it seems Alchemy won't be rares, since they will be craftable. Unless you consider craftable cards as rare.

I cannot confirm or deny that we may or may not have thought of some way of dealing with nymphs.

also, although i think Life is in dire need of better creature base than what they've got now, Forest Spirit would make a better rare for Life than Forest Scorpion (the same reasoning why i choose Lava Golem as rare for Fire...until i notice the utterly broken Phoenix staring back at me)
