Yeah, I'll be able to play along, you wouldn't believe how much rares/cards you can get by farming top 50 for a couple days. I only have 3 squids though. I can afford pretty much anything though, got 3000electrum + 112 total cards :)

Excellent!  3 squids in a few days is awesome; how are you doing on Tridents and the other weapons we've put up in the Vault?
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Nope, not Trident unfortunately, but I do have at least 1 of all the other rares save for druidic staff, and Miracles.

i would like it if someone can pm me before im given deck with a bunch of rares in it, so i can check to see if i even have them unupped. if i dont, i can at least get a running start on t50 farming.

p.s. essence, you know i cant do that. my allegiance may lie with whatever team im on at the time, but i do have an ever lasting allegiance to air. i voted for those 2 only

Guess what, internet was saved, but my computer's alimentator has broken.

Luckily my uncle works at the local Asus repair center (as administrator). I will be back in some days. No worry.

Here's another discussion nilsie and I had on the chatzy thing. It's about our round 3 opponents, didn't know where to put it

nilsieboy: hi
vinvick3714: Hey nilsie
nilsieboy: so our matches are:
vinvick3714: miniwally vs. aether toimu13
vinvick3714: rav vs. death smuglapse
vinvick3714: you vs. fire lava golem
nilsieboy: aether,death,fire,darkness,time,gravity,darkness,air,time
vinvick3714: the gravity is the gravity rookie
vinvick3714: just saying
vinvick3714: only one master this time
nilsieboy: and essence fights him
vinvick3714: we defeated Gyro last time
nilsieboy: so no disadvantage
vinvick3714: yep
vinvick3714: let me see what aether used to beat us
vinvick3714: in round 1
nilsieboy: well i have some main decks in thaught
nilsieboy: like the light/water one
vinvick3714: the light/water worked perfectly
nilsieboy: entropy/water
nilsieboy: and classic adrea crawlers
nilsieboy: (i call my version classic one xD)
nilsieboy: no idea why :P
vinvick3714: lolz
nilsieboy: you know it?
vinvick3714: no, not yet
nilsieboy: pendulums,adrealine,crawler,freeze
vinvick3714: but adrenacrawlers against aether won't work
vinvick3714: they have lobo
nilsieboy: so exact same quanta for both elements to
vinvick3714: and speedpoison doesn't work either, cause we know they use purifies against us
nilsieboy: against aether stall is a nice option i think
vinvick3714: yeah, stall should work
nilsieboy: dimensional shields, ice bolts as main offensive
vinvick3714: we used rushes both times for round 1 when we vsed them, so they shouldn't be expecting it
vinvick3714: yep
vinvick3714: so, 6 dim. shields
vinvick3714: water pendulums, mark of aether
nilsieboy: yes
nilsieboy: a otk water bolt stall should work
vinvick3714: otk?
nilsieboy: death might be a hard one
nilsieboy: we don't have holy lights (i wanted some because they're usefull against death/darkness)
nilsieboy: especialy upped ones because you can use any mark then
nilsieboy: the problem from death is,we don't know what they take
nilsieboy: i'm going to look in their vault
vinvick3714: ok
nilsieboy: at least the info we have
vinvick3714: I'll look at the deck they used to beat us
vinvick3714: they have some cc, lots of pc
vinvick3714: maybe quanta denial?
nilsieboy: or wings
nilsieboy: blocks arsenics, spiders and mummies for sure
vinvick3714: bone dragons get through
vinvick3714: and they used that against us last time
nilsieboy: or adrea crawlers
nilsieboy: they smash trough their bonewalls
vinvick3714: yeah
nilsieboy: then raving'd play carefull with them for sure
vinvick3714: but bonewalls cost 7 death
nilsieboy: only 1 or 2 at the same time
nilsieboy: for if they take plague
vinvick3714: death is a poison monster
nilsieboy: but one adrea crawler deals 12 damage wich is good
vinvick3714: yeah
nilsieboy: adrea crawlers are good rush
vinvick3714: definitely
nilsieboy: only problem would be dimensional shield stall
vinvick3714: we don't have pc in life or water
nilsieboy: yea
vinvick3714: and trios don't work very well
nilsieboy: that's a weakness
vinvick3714: maybe the steam machine thing?
vinvick3714: gets through poison
vinvick3714: deflags dim. shields
nilsieboy: outrushed
vinvick3714: ok
vinvick3714: stall won't work, cause of poison
vinvick3714: unless we use stall/purify
vinvick3714: deckout deck with purify?
nilsieboy: to dangerous
nilsieboy: arsenic will screw purifies
vinvick3714: that's true
nilsieboy: one arsenic can crush all 6 purifies
nilsieboy: light/water might be an option again
nilsieboy: ice shield
nilsieboy: purifies,miracles,squids
vinvick3714: hmm, that could work
nilsieboy: control slows them down a lot
vinvick3714: so, aether is light/water, and so is death
vinvick3714: tenatively
nilsieboy: for aether we can take aether to
nilsieboy: dimensional shield stall
vinvick3714: we have fire again though
nilsieboy joined the chat
nilsieboy: they don't have a lot of perm control
vinvick3714: aether has some pc though
nilsieboy: 6 dimensional shields as defense
vinvick3714: mindgates?
nilsieboy: don't know
vinvick3714: the mindgate deck against light could work
nilsieboy: i still think stall is a good option for now
vinvick3714: the one I used last round
vinvick3714: yeah, that's what i mean. Mindgate stall
nilsieboy: with maybe fractal and some crawlers as fast damage
vinvick3714: yeah
vinvick3714: that would work pretty well
nilsieboy: they don't have massive cc
vinvick3714: yep
nilsieboy: dimensional shields and some mindgates
nilsieboy: and more then 30 cards for sure
vinvick3714: definitely
nilsieboy: if they take shields to or mindgates
vinvick3714: alright, what about fire?
nilsieboy: it'll be a deckout fight
vinvick3714: lol
nilsieboy: hmm
vinvick3714: I say at least 34 cards
vinvick3714: for aether, not fire
nilsieboy: nah
nilsieboy: oh ok
nilsieboy: yea i agree
vinvick3714: alright
nilsieboy: for fire phoenixes?
vinvick3714: fire pwned us last time
vinvick3714: mmm, fight fire with fire
nilsieboy: phoenix will ruin their control
vinvick3714: minor phoenixes
nilsieboy: so it can kill stall
vinvick3714: it's you, so we get 3 upped cards
nilsieboy: oh yea
nilsieboy: we might wanna try something with the novas to
vinvick3714: discord?
vinvick3714: no, that didn't work last tie
vinvick3714: *time
vinvick3714: minor phoenixes
vinvick3714: water pendulums
vinvick3714: a couple deflags
vinvick3714: 4 deflag, 4 phoenix, 2 ice bolt, 6 steam machine, 14 water pendulum?
vinvick3714: this was the deck we were thinking about for our last match against fire
nilsieboy: was bored:
nilsieboy: xD
nilsieboy: http://helltgivre.free.fr/elements/...
vinvick3714: lolz
vinvick3714: 4 discords?
nilsieboy: just made it
nilsieboy: was bored
vinvick3714: what about deflags?
nilsieboy: funny thing is,it works pretty good xD
vinvick3714: 2 discords, 2 deflags i would say
vinvick3714: no shields?

I'm going to try not to sound like a douchebag, but I feel like I should voice my opinion.

I believe we might have done better last round if Essence had not stepped in and made decks for all of us. Of course, that isn't to say he shouldn't help in the future. But I believe the way he held our hands crippled us. Criticism was limited to basically "well there's some typos here" or "this deck's a bit Water-heavy". No one stepped up and said "hey, I had an idea for deck X against team Y" or "actually, that deck against Z doesn't work because A, B, and C", and that is definitely our fault. A fresh pair of eyes and brains (or eight) would have no doubt helped. If Essence had simply waited for people to suggest decks and then suggested alternatives, we would have avoided the "well Essence just made all of our decks, I'm going to go take a nap".

Which brings me to another subject. Essence's job is not to be a dictator. When he says it's X's final judgment, he's not being modest, he's not trying to seem like he's not making all the decision, he actually isn't making all of the decisions. Also, it's not the deckbuilder's job to decide which decks are good and which are bad. It's OUR job, and we're doing a pretty shitty job at it. The amount of discussion is depressingly low. Nowhere in the rules does it say the General's opinions are final. In round 2, we decided 8 out of 9 of Essences decks were good. Clearly, less than 8 were good enough.

Basically, Essence isn't our mommy. He doesn't decide what we do. We decide, and we should really work on how we make our decisions. Water is an amazing element; surely there is more than one potential deck that would work in any match-up? We have to work harder to find decks that don't suck, determine which decks shine and which are fucking garbage, and communicate our opinions, or else we're done. I know that if we start working as a team, we can pull through. Who doesn't like seeing an epic comeback, anyways?
