It's a redo of last round except we get fire instead of gravity

OK. Excellent Round 2, but we can continue this upward trend. I'm very happy with everyone's work, though a little more conversation in the round thread would be good too


Initial thoughts:

Light: Sofo Domin (not tink), AM Flooding, General Void

Darkness: Denial Bow (we ca make via salvage), Wtf Bow

Aether: Denial Bow (we ca make via salvage), Dev/Poseidon, Cata Titan

Fire: Wtf Bow

Life: AM Flooding, Steal Nymphs, Dims Fractal

any kind of denial is funny against  , but catatitan is probably the most all around answer

Ok i'll start with life. They will fear AM flooding now for certain. The most likely solution they will find is Fire Stall, but it's also possible they will salvage SoFos from gravity and go for a SoFo domin. I propose Explosion Patient Wardens, because that should do well against most of their decks other than Frogtal, which I doubt they will send.

 

Really think the wtf bow is an excellent rush option that they won't expect.

 

They are smart. obviously. I think we scared them with our Void Dials so they may go stallbreak, or denial. I think Devtal is a real possibility as it would counter void dials almost perfectly, but also hurt the rest of the decks we have sent so far. I'd really like to run either of our potential denial decks, because they should easilly beat any stallbreak or devtal of theirs. However, rainbow nymphs with Pulvies and reflectives is also an option.
Manuel, Cata Titan is nice but it is a very similar idea as Void Dials, and suffers from the same weaknesses, so i doubt they will stall us in that way

 

I like void dials here. AM flooding could also work against their large creatures.

 

another drainbolt is a possibilitym though they might go devtal because that's what we expected last time. Denial could do well against both, as could wtf bow

just a chat Gin and I had yesterday:

So I did some more testing and I think I was lucky with the denial-bow prewar. It's quite janky, Pre-war I got 9-3 against Bonebolt, now I get 0-5. Against devtal pre-war i got 4-1, now I get 2-3. Not consistant enough.
That leaves dev/poseidon. Unfortunately steals in devtal are very painful for it due to SoP, and it's impossible to drain all their dark quanta. I got to 4-3 but was 2-3 down at one point, so it's very 50/50. I'm happy to run it, but...
We could go full devtal counter with rainbow nymphs, 5-0. I do kind of like this idea, because i think devtal is very likely, but also because hain dissed the deck to me in chat when we used against darkness, so it would be hilarious to beat aether with it The reflectives and pulvies would work well against other decks too, so i think it's a solid idea tbh.

Mono Fire with 4 Deflags: 6 - 4. It's close really but they need a pretty good combination of exact amount of deflags for SoP, plus a few bolts for damsels and decent damage to beat the rush.
Fire Stall: 4 - 1. The only loss came from a very early Fire Nymph and a late SoP. The stall included Fire Storms, but never drew one early enough.

OK did some testing with explosion wardens against Life:

Frogtal: 3 - 2 it actually did much bettter than expected, but is an RNG toss. I do think that it's unlikely they'll send it against us however.
Firestall: 5 - 0 just smashes it

Light's giving me a headache. I want to stall them now with AM flooding or Void Dials, but their Breaks like PUGons would cause a lot of problems. I do think they will shy away from stalling us after we FreezeTitaned them. or maybe they won't.
I may have overthought this. Headache.

I think rainbow nymphs are a hard-counter attempt against devtal aether, but I also think that is is one of our decks with the least problems if it loses. I'd be much sadder losing dev/posiedon than this. There is a chance they'll throw their adrenaline PU golems at us too.
I think if we want to use dev/posiedon elsewhere, we run rainbow nymphs vs aether, if not we can use it here.

Darkness is also a tough one. Void would destroy drainbolt if we think they will run that again, or we could risk something else, such as, you guessed it, Devour/poseidon.

really struggling on these 3, would love some input. I am away today from 5pm to 10pm, and tomorrow for the deadline I will have to go offline at 11pm (2 hours before the deadline)

against darkness is a coinflip, the right choice does not exist

against aether meh, hainkarga didn't answered yet, and he would be probably subbed, and this sucks a lot since he is easiest to beat, but still like darkness, they have too many options
