Can't we use your poison deck vs :aether? I'd suggest with water pendulums instead.

We could even modify I it a bit more, to something like:

This has a better chance against a mindgate/deckout deck, because there are no ice bolts that can be copied.
Also, no death quanta from pillars/pendulums, means no chance to use some cards, except ice shield (not a threat at all), flooding (only 6 creatures in the whole deck), and squid (costs a lot of water quanta).
As Essence will be the one to play this deck, I suggest taking one of the following updating possibilities:
Poisons + Arsenic (more poison damage)Chrysaora (more damage)Ice shields + squids + something (taking less damage)Water pendulums (more water quanta, first turn chrysoarae

I would suggest taking a few more cards. Last war a lot of team used 36+ cards decks, if they feared a deckout. Maybe +1/2 ice shield, +1 EA.

That might work really well too, but I would take out some freezes, for pillars, because it is meant to be a rush, who usually have a low QI. This one has a QI of 6,5.
Changing freezes to pillars gives a QI of 4, which might be a bit low, but very fast.

The problem here as I see it is Fractal. They know we have Poison, and they'll use a Fractal Rush to keep us from slipping our Poison past their Dimensional Shields. So, how do you counter a Fractal Rush given what we've got in the Vault? Earthquake would work...other ideas?

Fire might go for a Fire Stall-ish deck, or a classic rush deck, or a Fractal Phoenix. In all cases, a Steam Machine/Phoenix deck with Deflags for the Fire Shield and :water - based CC seems to be the win.

:time will almost certainly do what :time does best -- try to stall you out and finish with Dragons. I suggest playing his game better than he does -- take a 40-card deck with just enough of CC, any healing and disruption you can muster (Antimatter/Discord might be good here!), and wait him out.

:life has a few different options in appearance, but in reality they all boil down to various forms of creature rush, and they know it. They'll view this as a tough match, and Daxx is no slouch. Expect something really strange like Aflatoxin/Bond. If I were you, I'd bring Ice Shields, a Purify (scorpions), and a couple of Deflags to deal with Bonds and Thorn Carapace.

:light is a biznatch. Glories are almost a given, and expect Miracles, too. RoL/Hope is also a credible threat. Ice Shields and Chryasora might be your best bet for this one, but bring Squids along in case he goes for a Pegasus Rush.

for the aether matches if you expect fractal take ice shield,discord or wings (i think frogtal is a populair one)
for the fire ones i don't know yet,i might edit this later (i think rush with some freezes for now)
for my match vs time i still think rush is a good option because eternity screws me and they aren't fast so i think i can outrush them
for life i'd take something with wings to (stall or toadfishes) because it blocks a lot of options
if you expect glories and miracles take discord,earthquake and ice shields to block it

Yes, but they are a lot of times a death card, I tested a deck with 17 pillars and 4 dragons, and a deck with the freezes, and most the times I wanted to draw a creature (damage) rather then a freeze (slow), just to continue the damage building, as I had a lot of quanta pilled up most of the time.
If you really want some control, I suggest swapping the freezes for some ice bolts, because they can always be used for damaging.

Well, the denial can be faced by the EA's I slipped in last minute, or by using pillar/pendulum mix.

Problem, only 6 Steam Machines and Phoenixes. So only one of us can play a steam machine deck. The other can use the freeze rush I created. The freezes are needed here, as fire can be really fast, so you will have to slow them down. Also, taking no perms (for both) means no trouble when fighting against deflag.

Problem with that, as we already pointed out, we don't have any dim shields, and playing unprotected control creatures will fail against eternity. But, water has ice bolts, so we don't need to win the stalling, we can bolt them to death.
Or, nilsie can try to outrush them, as time is a relatively slow element. (see previous posts in this treat).

RoL hope will fail, due to no opgraded creatures, so that would mean photon+fractal+luciferine+hope = 4 card combo. I think this might be a nice one for a poison stall, because squids and ice shields will slow light severely down, poison will beat hope, and stalling along with damage building up slowly beats miracle. That would only leave the weapon, which might become a treat, as that deck lacks healing.

Wings might also work pretty well for me and Miniwally, as Stone Dragon/Basalt Dragon are the only airborne creatures in Earth Cards.

Time's strenght is in rewinds, big creatures, and sundial. This way, you make a Poison Stall (with sundial), nearly useless.
Essence's deck is a good counter-counter to purify, as I said, but I think it needs some defense.

Do you guys think this deck would work for my match against Demagog? Edits would be greatly appreciated, especially by the dictator.

I packed CC for a rush, and split pillars and pendulums for earthquake, Toadfish and Icebolt for main damage. Wings and Iceshield as shields. 35 cards incase he tries to do a deckout. Just an idea that I thought of, probably won't work if they spam earthquakes though.

Change 3 Water Pillars to Water Pendulums, -1 Ice Shield +1 Wings, and -1 Air Pendulum +1 Water Pendulum.
Demagog is a canny player, and he'll do :earth proud; you'll be lucky to take this one. I would expect from his play style that he'd go more off-the-wall than you expect. Here are some of the decks he played in the first War:

So, you can see, Demagog's style is creature rush, but he's not afraid to back that up with some disruption and some Basilisk's Blood to slow you WAY down. Given all of that, I think that Wings is a great bet, one Ice Shield is a good backup, and packing spell-based CC is strong. So, yeah, good deck. :)

I packed CC for a rush, and split pillars and pendulums for earthquake, Toadfish and Icebolt for main damage. Wings and Iceshield as shields. 35 cards incase he tries to do a deckout. Just an idea that I thought of, probably won't work if they spam earthquakes though.

No, I think you will really need those wings, and even if you lose, this is the first round, so we only have to discard 6 cards.

Flayers could be used against golems, as it would effectively nullify the golem's growth ability, also could be used on fire spirits, and even phoenix's after they turn to ash.

if they use golems: it's still a strong 5/1 creature and ithink they use golem rush then wich ruins fractal deck already
if they use phoenixes then we use flayer on them,but they still have a 7/1creature wich pwns us

against life i wouldn't take that deck,steam machines are slow and life is fast (and i don't think they'll play that much creatures)

I had a dream last night, and it inspired me. I want to take :fire / :water vs. gocubbies1212.
Something like this:

Deflags will kill Phase Shields, Lobos, etc -- or, if it's a Fractal/Pest deck, take out early :aether pillars to give me time to draw up Flooding. With only Pendulums powering the attack, Mind Gates won't be able to use my own stuff against me. Fractal Chargers could honestly be a problem, but I don't see that being a very likely deck for them to bring. Both Steam Machines and Phoenixes make Lightning not a viable method of CC as long as I can take out lobos.
I could be in trouble if they go :water / :aether and take Mind Flayers, but that's a risk I'm willing to take.
Best part is, even if I lose, we discard Flooding and Steam Machine and don't particularly care.

Doesn't do too well against creature control, and bad draws are pretty common.

I think if we have them spare that I should add 2 Ice Shields and 1 more Pendulum to my :fire / :water deck, above.
You'll find it's a little overkill to have 6x EQ AND 3 Tridents. I'd drop 2 EQ and add 2 Freeze or Ice Bolt.

Also, in chat, I suggested a Mind Gate Stall for you vs. light, Wavedash. The basic deck is Mindgates, Ice Bolts, Ice Shields, and possibly an Ice Dragon or 2.
The logic is simple: if they go for a anything except a rush, you'll have plenty of time to build up :water quanta and draw Ice Bolts to kill them. If they bring Mirror Shields, you can Mindgate them and use them to reflect a Bolt back at them. If they go for a rush, you can stop them cold with Ice Shield and Ice Bolt, only to use their own rush against them, only bigger, later in the game. Basically, the deck is really strong in the long game, and good at creating a long game.
IDK if you like the idea, but I think it's a decent one. :)

Well, for Wavedash's deck I think that 41 cards is already an ideal number, so that it can counter stall. Also, you need to fix you mark, or else you can't play that mindgates :P :P :P
(Also, why the 2 ice dragons? 41 cards is enough to deck out your opponent with or without ice bolt..)
As for the Essence's idea, I believe it's the perfect counter... PU might be a little problem for your steam machines though.. (Or else,the worst thing is also dimensional shield with PA)..

Well, for Wavedash's deck I think that 41 cards is already an ideal number, so that it can counter stall. Also, you need to fix you mark, or else you can't play that mindgates :P :P :P
(Also, why the 2 ice dragons? 41 cards is enough to deck out your opponent with or without ice bolt..)
As for the Essence's idea, I believe it's the perfect counter... PU might be a little problem for your steam machines though.. (Or else,the worst thing is also dimensional shield with PA)..

for light mindgates still might be a good option after discords because even if they have pendulums,they'll be light so we can still use their main part of the deck (miracles and things like that) and it's only good because their pendulums support our bolts

OK, I updated the decks
Wavedash now has a mindgate deck, and we don't lack any cards (yes, not even water pillars/pendulums)
I anyone has suggestions/possible improvements for their decks, please check first in the left cards if we have the cards needed.

My deck seems... small. I kind of doubt I'd be able to out-stall anything.

You don't have to.
Just stall until you have 80 water quanta and 4 bolts, and kill Ryan.
Anything else just speeds that up.
The idea is to mind gate a lot of pendulums, to get even more water quanta, and use his cards to kill him faster.

I'm strongly considering adding 2x Ice Shield to my deck (I already added 1x Flooding). Do you think it's worth it, y'all?

If you experimented with it, I would definately agree. Ice shields can work against immortal creatures, and flooding will work with fractal. I would go for it!

Also, I would add +1 Mindgate to wavedash's deck, and take out 2 Aether Pillars. It's waay Aether heavy. In fact, take 1 Water Pendulum out of my deck, and add it to wavedash's in place of a 3rd Aether pillar.
Also, add one Nymph's Tears to unit's deck. A single Purple Nymph can spell the end of a lot of decks, and if they play Light Stall, it'll help to get BE on one of the Ice Dragons. :)

The dictator better be on before times up, so he can update these decks... But yes, I agree with you Essence. Wavedash said that his was aether-heavy, but we didn't really think much of it. Not to mention the fact that Nymphs tears are the trump card of the water cards.

Actually, somehow I missed that wavedash's deck had :watermark , not :aethermark . Given that the Pendulums are creating just Water, I see why his deck is the way it is. I don't think it needs changing from it's current form.
I did, however, edit my deck and the vault respectively. :)

I think then that I'm satisfied with all of the decks except for one thing -- I'd give Miniwally one more squid. But that's really up to him; just my experience vs. earth leads me to believe that an early Squid is vital. :)

So I would say that we are good, except for Essence's comment about miniwally's extra squid. I think that if Miniwally doesn't come on before the deckbuilding phase ends, then you can take this decision as yours, Essence. We would just have to tell miniwally afterwards.

Wavedash, do you think that you should take out two aether pillars and add a mindgate though? It's up to you really, whatever fits your playing style the best.
I definitely would if I could, but there are no more Aether Pillars to take.
Someone want to take one of my Short Swords? I wouldn't really mind, it'd probably be better off in a rush deck.

Well, there is only one major problem.
I will give miniwally the squid, but, Essence, did you give yourself an extra flooding (again)?
Because that is impossible, as we only have 3 floodings in our vault, and bluesky has two floodings too.
That means one of you two has to go with one or no floodings at all, and that is the reason I took one flooding out of your deck, as your deck had more than 30 cards, meaning I didn't have to put something in, and, as your deck is basically a rush, I don't think you will need that many floodings.

What kind of earth deck are we expecting me to go against here? Definitely not a shrieker rush otherwise there'd be no cc so no need for quints, are we expecting rewinds? Also I'd just like to point out that I'm very vulnerable to EQ with that deck but you've probably already noticed and the early quid will be vital against earth.
I hadn't been able to get on the computer yesterday and I got to go in a minute but when I get back I'll check over things in more detail.
