I like this versus life - the squid cost seems really affordable.  The bow is optional but with the life mark... well.. it is a bonus... and perhaps helps with deck out wins.  Another cute bonus is ice bolt + shockwave to destroy weapons.

For :aether

Might be a little predictable when taking dragons or poison only, so I took them both ;)
Ice shield to counter immortals, squids + flooding to counter fractal.

you shouldn't forget devtal is popular at team aether to, going with mark based cards is VERY dangerous at a moment like that.

at bootza's deck, add wings, a killer against life but to predictable.
we've tried it last war to and they went with aether (quints and phase shields) so we need original stuff guys, don't forget they'll counter us when we go at the standart ways.

Good points all round Nilsie!

How about this? - with almost no CC at all but a rush instead using 'growers':

For the dictator's deck.

I'd add that aether knows how to counter a poison deck, and keep with Dim Shield.
Purifies off mark.

Yes I know my first deck is predictable, but I'm just listing a lot of options, starting with the predictable ones ;)

A few random decks I just came up with:

I call this one

Annoyance

I think it can work quite well against aether, just wait with putting liquid shadow on you dragons until you can steal his lobo and shield.

on the name, the most annoying this to play against darkness decks was always duskmantle + vampiric creatures for me, because it makes it a lot harder to deal enough damage to kill, imagine what ice shield + freeze will do ;)

It can beat...air or life, maybe?
It's not a direct counter, but as they say, a good offense is the best defense :D

I'd say throw in an air mark and replace the pendulums with pillars. Toadfish ability never hurts!
The toadfish ability would make it much more viable versus a wide variety of decks.

I'll post some idea's tomorrow, still testing alot.

Don't forget a fog shield for that too, if we're going for a duo air.
