USES: Trident is the rare weapon of Water.
Its use - while limited - can completely cripple the opponent if pulled out early enough, paired up with other blocking capabilities Water has.
The upgraded version, Poseidon, loses one :earth cost from it's ability, which makes it somewhat even easier to use it round by round.

I used to run one of these in my deck to start destroying pillars on my opponent. But since I only had one it didn't help me much unless i drew it early. Good card though. Better than Pulverizer if all you care to destroy are pillars/towers

Earthquake on a stick. If you manage to draw and afford it early, the opponent is shut down immediately. If you have worse luck with it, so you get it in the later game, it doesn't make much of a difference.

this card is good for control of enemy quanta but i do wish they would replace it with a better one. i've seen a good one in the crucible.

Though I do think it needs a buff it has a new use these days with shard of readiness, either way I have always felt it needs more attack.

I personally don't think SoR and trident is a good combo in any possible deck. I do agree this card has it's uses however.
It's not so much useful in regular, unrestricted PvP or PvE, but it is in some events. I remember Tiko pounding me to dust with a Trident/EQ based deck in the first Draft event after wich I had to build special Trident/EQ counters when I faced Tstar after that. It's great in some tournaments aswell, but definately one of the weaker weapons (the weakest?...) in Elements.

I had a tad of success with SOR with both tridents and steam machines in a mono water. However it could have just been me searching for something unique. Either way trident could probably benefit from a little more damage or something that would allow it to be used in more situations.
