Like bloodshadow just stated, maybe fallen druid now has a new rival card?  I think that knowing your mutants will have awesome abilities is a much more advantageous strategy instead of just ... mutating and hoping for the best.

I feel that rainbow decks will probably still hold a place for both cards, but maybe nymphs will take a druid-type role in a rainbow

Can't make more pillars just like that though, unlike critters.

I seriously think that mostly-pillar decks will be soon popular with this card. Get a couple of Sapphire Pillars, Nymph's Tears, Quantum Pillars, and Quintessence. Then just produce all sorts of random nasty Nymphs from the Quantum Pillars.
Rainbow nymph deck will be the 1st one i'll try...

I have a question:
It seems to me that the water element is treated badly by the Nymphs. They got a Nymph queen, which could turn their pillars into.... another Nymph Queen.
Am I right, or I overlooked something?

This Nymph is maybe the most useful. You should immortalize it soon as it lets you turn other pillars into nymph much more cheaply, and for sure (you don't need to wait for another nymph's tear) .

Well, if you're Mono-Water, then yes.

When you do something else, then the Queen is great for turning the other pillars.

The upgraded version is called "Water Nymph." Anyone else think that the names of this unupgraded and the upgraded nymphed should be switched? It just seems to make more sense that there would be the word "Queen" in the stronger, upgraded version.

I agree. Water Nymph should be the unupgraded name because then it will match the other nymph card names.

Err... the others are all colour for unupped and element for upped, so how would making the unupped Water match the others?

To stay true to the naming scheme of things:

Unupped: Aqua Nymph
Upped: Water Nymph

I think the unupgraded version should be called Water nymph and the upgraded should be called Nymph Queen. Queen sounds more suprerior and Water Nymph would match the rest of them :P
