Lets put it this way: Flood is like a top and bottom row shield, sort of. When they attack, they become non-immaterial, which is why the shields affect them, so when they do that, they drown.

But yeah, while I don't want them to affect immaterial creatures, it does make more sense if they do affect them. In the Elements 1.21 thread, BluePriest brought up the point that immaterial creatures are affected by all permanent cards, which is true.

What I love about this is now Water has a fun little quantum denial deck: use Nymph's Tears on your opponent's pillars with this in play, and the nymph will die the following turn, provided it is not in one of the first seven slots. :)
This actually sounds like a lot fun xD

@mrsexington, my bird is bigger than your bird  :P

yeah, it's pretty easy to run this with just a mark and a few pillars. i think this combos just a little too well with malignant cells, as they have so few spaces to fill. once the combo in the screen shot is set up it's just an infinite loop of cells dying and then skeletons dying.
That is very OP....
And I dont see why cells cant swim, they should be able to

On second thought, it would be much more balanced if they done die, but get freezed
KISS principal.  No need to create an exception for every card.

Also, what decks are you all using?  I lost 7 AI 5 matches in a row simply because the deck was too slow.
I was just quoting the deck above

But yea, KISS should apply, and i should think it should just keep them all frozen!

The "thing" in the alternative art would be a water elemental
Awesome 2nd art, way better imo =)

I mostly answered this in the Elements 1.21 thread, but to sum that up quickly here:

They have to become material to attack, we almost all can agree upon this. But you said in the other thread that they simply become material the second before they attack, thus never touching the board. But we can see the immaterial cards on the board, so therefore, they are not in their own little dimension, but only partially, and for some reason, their intelligence is limited enough to the point where they decide to become material while still on the board, and then attack.

Ok, that wasn't really a summary of it, but still.

I wish there is an effect that makes a creature 'water breathing'.

Alternative art is looking a lot better :D

This card seems to be very strong especially with aflatoxin, vulture, bone wall and boneyards. Maybe it should absorb 3 or even 4 :water only in the 1st turn and from 2nd turn onwards it should absorb 1 :water per killed creature :P This way malignant cells spam will be too expensive in water quanta. And absorb per drowned starts from 2nd turn because if opponent have 23 creatures on board you need a lot of :water to play card and kill them...

That alternative art is not only way better, but also fits the effect better (water on both sides of the elemental, just like the flood on both sides of the field).

As for the card, I guess it makes water the best defensive element - flood+permafrost+6 SoG... at least against no permanent-control...
Though :water :death now has a new meaning ;) I wonder if flood+aflatoxin becomes more popular than poison decks. Both will be sooo irritating to fight against ;)
May the force of the D4HK side be with U ^_^

I vote for the alternative art.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

It looks way OP. And it makes water the strongest element there is, since this permanent will control the creature count of all other elements.
