Dragon consume lots of quanta, it's hard to play one.

Looks very interesting. I've always assumed that Toadfish, even considering its ability, is inferior to the Abyss Crawler, but this deck uses both! I could see a PvP version with a Permafrost in there somewhere, because this deck just feels too...non-Water-themed. :P

I may start upping cards for this as an alternative PvP deck.

This was an attempt to see how fast could water get.

I think that 6,7 it's good for a "control" element.

Lol I'm gonna do what everyone else does...+8 pendulums -8 pillars :D
Unless you have no pendulums upped, then stick with the pillars.  :P

Really that hungry for water quanta? Seems like you could switch to air mark and actually have some CC, since you will be drawing a lot of unwanted towers mid-game.

-8 Towers and +8 Water pendulums? If so, change your mark to air if you want CC.
Looks like a solid deck. Better then my other Mono-Water deck.

That's done to prevent Earthquakes from destroying all your Towers more often.  You have 2 Towers and 1 Pendulum matching your mark and your opponent will be forced to waste one more Earthquake/Quicksand to get rid of your 3 quanta producers.

6.7 is nasty for a :water deck, nice job RR.

Yes, I know that, I was just adding the pendulums to have some CC.
Title: Re: Tsunami - fastwater rush - 5,8 TTW
Post by: RavingRabbid on October 19, 2010, 02:47:48 pm
Ok, the sample size is small (20 matches.)

5,8 TTW guys. It's the first mono-water reaching under 6 ttw I think.

While I get more tests, this is faster than both Mono-Life and Shrieker Rush

5.8 ttw?

Adds this to the list of decks to test for ttw study.

K. After 40 games, this gets to a nice 5,95. Going to test some more after.

As I said, I may start upping Water Towers after I'm done upping Time Pendulums for my Water/Time pvp duo deck.

Once I get grinding again, anyways.

It's getting closer and closer to that 6 ttw, by the looks of it next result will have it at 6.

6,0625 in 80 games.

Maybe at 100 games I'm going to test another variant.

I suppose that will be the fastest.

What's the point of the toadfish again...? ???

It's upgraded version has 3/5 with poison stacking.
The Nonupgraded version has 6/4 with the ability 1 Poison on the enemy for 1 Air quantum.

I still think the upgraded version is better, Maxwell's demon can't get it, making it better.

It takes 3 turns for A Puffer Fish to get the damage potential of a Toadfish. And 6 turns to get the same amount of damage dealt. In a deck that works about 6 turns, Puffer Fishes < ToadFishes

Water chat pulled out the necro from me, sorry for that. (Water holds great synergies with Death anyways..)

Just wanted to add my (personally) most preferred version here, I've gotten the most stable results with this (didn't bother with stats, though):

Pretty similar to ver 1, but 2 swords helps to get one early, and the pillar/pend split is a must for stable starting hands.
Half of the deck is quanta-source, the other half is damage - not much else to say.. used to run Silver with it since Arena is populated.
