Exactly.  In the past few days alone, I have seen countless newbies (and even great players who are simply lesser known on the forum) come into chat feeling dejected and angry because nobody wants to bid on them.  Sure, it may be a given that not everyone can be included, but I don't think it really hit anyone that the person getting left out could be you.  You don't sign up knowing that you'll probably not get included, you sign up hoping that you will get included.  And when you watch your thread float to the bottom of the forum without a single shred of interest, it stings.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of this.  I'm hoping it will be a great success, regardless of how it's set up.  c:

There's also the emotional validation which comes from being bid on (being "wanted"). Even if you're not too worried about being left out, there's still a desire to have people bid on you because it says you're good enough that someone wants you to help them.

I think it should be more like a sub-war.  A Master / Warmaster / Community chooses a leader for each element and they have a war without the members of the actual war teams.  The winner of the sub-war (maybe top 3?) could fight the actual team of their element and, if they win, other teams.  This isn't necessarily revenge, but I think I'd have a lot of fun playing in this.

It says underworld, that means criminals and such. I'm thinking it would be more like we are fodder and padding. A spanner in the works.

Yeaaaa this is a good idea. I wanted to participate in this war but could see right away that if you hadnt won a tourny or was a big player or big on the forums you prob wasnt going to get picked, too many players not enough slots. I think Underworld is a perfect reminder of the many other PvP events here.  I'm looking forward to join all the other events when they restart (which is soon!) that I can.  Hang in there everyone, plenty more fighting to be done.

I realise I am very, very late to this party but where could I find more information on getting involved in PvP and other organised events?
