To be honest, I find all the betting kind of ridiculous. The majority of the match (maybe 80%) is done before the match even begins, when the decks are being prepared, strategy is decided ect.
You might think Essence (chosen because he's leaving-temporarily to not single anyone out), known as a creative deckbuilder could beat the a team rookie, but if the deck given to him was bad, the rookie would destroy him. Likewise if the rookie was given a bad deck. There is no deckbuilding based on players. The only thing the players have to do specifically towards their own matchup is show up, and play to the best of their abilities.
(Not wanting to sound bad towards rookies, you are all doing much better than I could do)
If you judged based on known pvp skill, and post counts, Air wouldn't have done very well in the first round. But, they did the best (equal). Betting is fine, but try to think a little deeper than post count and tourney wins.

(No offense to the people who think about their betting-I respect thought out decisions)
