Well, I get the idea, but I don't think it would be fair at this point. For one thing, some teams might be relying on this card for certain decks, possibly causing them to lose because of it.
Well, that definitely makes sense Korugar but to be honest I think most people would be really afraid to use Voodoo Dolls from now on in War ... since basically it guarantees a screwed-up match and is not very nice for the opponent. If it becomes established that they are auto-win (since sometimes they auto-desync and the win is determined by who has higher HP when someone desyncs) it could be a source for a lot of contention as well ...

Yeah, I don't think there's a perfect solution in this case. Another thing to think about is that there are other cards that commonly cause desynchs. I've got no idea what the "percent comparison" would be, but I think Pandemonium causes them on a regular basis, when there are a lot of creatures out(which is the time you'd prefer to use it).

The biggest problem with voodoo dolls though is that sometimes they show different results for different people, without actually DCing until one wins on their screen (not on opponents). I'm still not sure what the solution is though... kinda a tricky issue.

Btw. if you look at QuantumT's first Screenshot, you can also see what happened in the second Sir Valimont vs. Klaymore match. Vagman has a Gravity Pulled BB'd Voodoo Doll out which has been attacked by the FFQ (normal HP=36, current HP=33). So QuantumT should have taken 3 damage and be at 97 HP (or 98, don't know if Bond healing happens before or after Voodoo damage). On the screenshot however he is still at 100. I guess vagman saw QuantumT correctly at 97/98 HP. This glitch probably caused Sir Valimont in the second match to see his win, while Klaymore survived on his screen.

In any case, I definitely agree the Voodoo Dolls have to be banned. The only question that remains is what the teams who still have them in their Vault get as compensation.

We could allow teams that have Voodoo Dolls to replace them with random darkness cards. Allowing them to choose exact cards would be probably a bit of too much compensation... although on the other hand, 'removing' voodoo dolls might make certain other cards in their vault much less useful, since they were taken to synergize with Voodoo Dolls.

So my suggestion is to allow these teams to replace Voodoo Dolls with either random, or chosen, darkness cards, at War Master's discretion, since he can judge what would be the best solution based on their current vault.

We are talking about this same thing is chat at the moment.

I think that Voodoo Dolls are clearly bugged and should probably be removed from War #2 by replacing them with other cards.

The main question is of course, what cards do they get replaced with?

If they can only be replaced with one card, it's going to be unfair to the team that has them because they have so limited options and their awesome Doll strategy just went down the toilet.

If they can be replaced with any card, it's going to be unfair to all other teams because ex-Doll teams get to "rebuild" their Vault using many different options.

This is why I think the most fair solution would be somewhere in the middle.

We could pick a certain number of cards, like 3-5. Teams then pick one of these, and all their Dolls transform to that card.

Whatever the decision, I'm interested will other teams get to see their choice? We're at the stage where most Vaults are pretty much known.

Yeah, that's a good question. Most likely we will have to make it public, but keep the exact number as a secret of course.

How about this, then:
Warmaster declares the cards that dolls can be turned into, then each team, including those that don't have dolls, make their decision after, perhaps 2 days? and then the general of each team posts the name of the chosen replacement in a predetermined thread (for example, the War: News thread)

That way, we don't know who had dolls and was hiding them, or how many, but we do know what they chose if they did have them.

I think that that sounds like the best/fairest decision imo. It needs to be done quickly though if possible since there are only 3 days left in the deckbuilding stage and people will need to be able to plan for the new cards in their decks.

But going back the fairness issue....Voodoo Dolls are useless without Gravity Pull. Do teams who wouldn't be able to use that for anything else get to replace them? I also don't think there are any voodoo decks that don't use Basilisk Blood, so do those also get replaced?
