i guess so, but i feel a bit like what Gl1tch said could be improved upon.
From where I stand, i feel that a situation stated by Gl1tch would be absolutely horrible, as it is not pro-developmental as perv mentioned. Something like that specific situation should have a type of measure against it. I really don't know how we got from lava golems to pendulums. If every team had at least one of the same deck, that would make war less fun to both play and watch. (and maybe more) This would discourage the drive to make new decks that were built to overpower the enemy based on the intel gathered on him/her. That's where the fun is!
Pendulums i have nothing against however.

Any pendulum is that elements card and should absolutely count as one of that elements card and not half that elements card.  Every time entropy puts a nova in its deck should it only count as 1/12th of an entropy card because it produces only 1  :entropy and 11 quanta from other elements.  Any card no matter what they do, belongs to the element it is listed in and should be counted that way.

Right, but by that logic, /any/ element can take 15 pillars, fire mark, and golem rush, the fastest deck in the game.  That's not really cool.
Then the measure against it is that it would suck.

Or do you really want to see that weaker elements get beaten almost every time they meet stronger elements? What is interesting about that? I and anyone who knows about this game enough could predict almost exactly the outcome of War if anyone is forced to play only with their "representative" cards or their choices of playing other cards are quite limited (as in case where there were not Pendulums). Actually Pendulums represent the element exactly the same way as Pillars do, they are not "others". Air Pendulums are Air cards and nothing more.

And look at the decks now and compare them with the decks played in the last War. Aren't they much more interesting? Much more different options are open now for everybody. War should develop along with the game.
I personally think that impression is partly formed by the fact that people who are happy with it, (like me) take it for granted and don't really see a problem (and remain rather silent). Pendulums are a new kind of pillars that make much more decks possible(/plausible), than before. I like them, there are many others who do as well, so there's really not enough reason to change the rules just because the war goes differently.

I'm sure we've all heard of the Event Card drama, and it's been quite the mass consensus that:

    People didn't hate them, they loved them.People found the "Age of X" and some others a little unbalancedPeople would still love to see Event Cards flourish even in this war
My proposition is this:
Rescue the Event Cards

How to do this? Simple. We post some Event Card Ideas and then voting for them occurs, openly. It's still not too late.

I'm not forcing anyone to include the work, nor for the following ideas to be considered as official, but this one goes out to ScaredGirl. Here's to show you we loved them and are willing to work to get them back.

When suggesting an Event Card, please use non-royalty images and use Card Suggesting image generators.

Please and thank you. Let the Event Cards live through us. Let me begin.

I think that these event cards are dead for this war. It would probably be no use to try and salvage them. I mean, think of how SG would feel if she reads this. First she takes a whole day to make these cards, round 1 goes really well so her motivation is 100%, next round starts and people make an uproar about the event card they are calling 'unfair'. The boycott works but she doesn't feel like going through that drama again so she just throws them all out the window, and now someone is trying to get them back?
The original reason she tossed all the event cards was to reduce her stress, bringing them back is just going to put her stress back on her. This topic was probably just one of those ideas that were presented at the wrong time.

If you guys want to sit down and let a beautiful and distinguishing concept such as the event cards go down in flames, sit and watch.

I'm not going to let that happen. And by the way, ScaredGirl doesn't have to get stressed at all, if the ideas presented here are discussed with the public, agreed that are balanced, and even are able to be seen by Generals, there's not much room for error. I'm asking for those that want to see the Event Cards live through this drama to post here with their support and ideas, instead of saying:

"Next war"
"Too hard"
"No elemental advantage cards"

1 week per round is a lot of time for us to work. and the amount of rounds remaining can be calculated. The best cards are chosen and randomized as a list, and if there are 5 rounds remaining, then the top 5 are selected.

This thread is not meant to offend anyone, it's not meant to demean all the work put forth for the Event Cards, and it's not meant to continue the drama.
This thread calls for all those necromancers and paladins to work together and bring back to life an idea that was slain too early. Too early to have seen it shine gloriously.

I think the best way to handle this situation is to drop it. SG removed event cards and they should stay removed (as much as I hate the fact that they're gone). Trying to find a way to put them back is a slap in her face, implying that she was unable to do it correctly the first time around.

Whether or not the event cards would be able to make it into this War is a moot point.

I think that starting a brainstorm for new Event cards even if they would only be implemented next War is a great idea. This will give the cards the additional time, and transparency as well as seize the current enthusiasm and convert it into something productive.

Continuing on tweaking and brainstorming new event cards that build off the enormous effort that SG put into the first batch is precisely what she wanted us to do before War 2. It is too late to go back in time and change the community's lack of sufficient assistance. However we can try to make up for our failing by getting a head start on helping out for War 3.




I think Renewal is a good card. It would need some details clarified. (Is a 1 card difference big enough?)
Balancewise this card would favor teams that have large vaults or have been repeating decks. However depending on what the required degree of difference is I think that it could still give a significant advantage without being a decisive advantage.
