1st -  :water - because it has a lot of creatures that go with other elements, making for cool decks. Water-poison, water-aether (kinda), water-air, mono-water... last i knew, during the war teams would lose cards, messing up a few decks etc. but when water has so many possible combos, that will make it easier for them. Also, they have lots of creature control, with flooding, freeze, infection, lobotomize, etc.
2nd -  :gravity - They have lots of creatures, all of which are reasonable in most decks involving gravity. This means that even when they lose some good cards they can still make decent decks
3rd -  :fire - it has control and speed and can work reasonably with other elements (golem, graviton fire-eater, fractal/phoenix, immolation giving all quantum types, etc.)
4th -  :earth - reasonable, hard to kill creatures (burrow/high hp), works in combination with some other elements (fire, darkness, time), has some control and good shields (2 damage reduction can be amazing with all unupped cards)
5th -  :darkness - has some control and works well with some elements, but it doesn't have many unupped hard-hitters
6th -  :entropy - has some control, can work well with some elements (life, darkness, time (fate eggs), mutation rainbow)
then i'll go with  :life :aether :time :air :death :light

Death and Time are in the middle because, even though Time is my favorite Element,
     the lack of permanent control really starts to take its toll.
You should have more faith in Time ;)

We have numerous ways of fighting permanent control.
-We can have so many permanents that opponent is unable to destroy all of them, especially if you draw them faster than he can destroy them.
-We can rewind his creatures so that he has no chance to draw any more PC cards.
-We can splash for permanent control (indestructible weapons and shields, PA)
-We can play without permanents (yes, that's possible!).

As for offensive permanent control, only 4 elements have it, but Time is just great at splash and duo decks, so there is no problem ;)

And some good advice... go change your list, because we are going to win this war :P
If Time is your favorite element, you deserve to win.
