  - rewind counters a myriad of creatures/strategies. can control your friggin' HAND!
  - extremely fast, spine carapace, flying+adrenalined druidic staff, bonds, heals. sexy
  - creature control epic fails against it, dim shield is very effective, and LIGHTNING!!!
  - flying owl's eyes are truly a bitch. FFQ is ridiculous with hope, with rustlers...oh boy
  - octopi, flooding, congeal+permafrost shield, extremely effective creature control
  - doesn't do well against healing, no perm control, fails against many decks
  - ironically control-oriented, can be overwhelmed/rushed
  - quicksand is ridick, but shriekers are very frail and not very well rounded
  - tends to fail against rushes/momentum/pillarless decks/hope, etc. etc.
  - pfff....seriously, you want an explanation? It has hope....that's about it.

I disapprove of gambling - well, at least when you actually put money into the situation. But in this case, I'm hoping for the best. ^^;

Anyway, all I know is that ,  ,  ,  ,  , and  have some really good decks AND strategies to counter a lot of elements, so that's why they're at the top. Hopefully I'll get one of the element placements right (even if I don't get any points).

My Top 5

Stone Skin should delay the rushes, and Basilisk Blood is underused but useful. Obviously, the shrieker rush works very well, but may be too predictable to fall back on. Earthquakes rule. And in some situations, even pulveriser.
 
Very Fast. Deflags, the cheapest permanent destruction in the game, Lava destroyers. Fire Buckler. Phoenix + Immolation. Fast Quanta, high attacks. Fire would be it's own worst enemy.

  Untouchable. Really in its own league, and against opponents without perm control it has a good shot of winning. Fractal gives many new strategies which may be useful.

  Momentum. Otys. Gravity shield. This has the best chance of beating aether without much competition. And Light, which I see as relying heavily on Hope.

  Fast. High attack creatures, and lots of them. A basic life mono can rush most things. (Apart from Fire Buckler)
