I'm a realist.

Do you have any idea what it does to team morale when their leader thinks they have zero chance to win? And not only that, but to put their team in 6th place? I'm surprised everyone didn't quit because I probably would have.

Here's a heads up to everyone: In War #2, any General who puts his/her team in any other position than winner, will be instantly replaced.

It's not that hard looking at the elements to see that there is imbalance. We (Gravity) can try our best but it is nigh on impossible to match the strength of Fire, Entropy and Earth. It depends on the rules of course but the rules in War 1 did not give me any confidence that Gravity could win. However, I should probably say that it is not like I tried to get Gravity to come 6th. Of course I'd rather win but winning at something (or being close) is better than winning at nothing. I frankly don't think my thinking that Gravity will not win affected our performance in any way. It certainly did not play a part in how I approached the War.

I must admit I got Time and Water really wrong though.

Nevertheless, if I'm required to place my element as first despite what I really believe then I'll do so.

It's not about who you think will win, it's about leadership and motivating your team. It's important for leaders to show that they believe in their team even if they really don't. Sure your chances to win this bet might be lower, but at least you will win the respect of your team and other players.

I find it ridiculous that we would need to implement a new system just because some Masters (or Generals) want to bet against their team. It's much easier to replace those Generals with someone who believes his/her team can win. It's not fair for the players on the team if they have a leader who gave up before any duels were even fought.

signed. and noone is forced to play the war, if you want to bet against your team, there is a way you can do that: dont join the war! (hidden vote for 4 or 5 ppl/team)

btw, i just read it now, what is a grandmaster? is it permanent or only till next end of war? do i get this title or have to decide between master of fire and grandmaster? if - for example - i lose my title to kevkev, and join team fire under his leadership next war, and fire wins again (what else?), do i lose the title then to him or still keep it, or also keep it if not in the winning team, etc.?

just want to know a bit more about this.


btw, betting-rules only say, that the first elements count for points, not if there is a tie. so i only GUESSED that youll look at the first element later in correct position, but that was just my guess, so i dont know, if i am the war-betting winner or there is a tie, or which system is used for this case.

According to my calculations, looks like Antagon won this one.

There were multiple people who got the first 3 correct. Then we look at ALL the 12 elements and count the total score. Antagon seems to have the most matches.

If someone disagrees, please let me know before I give out the reward.

its a conflict of interest, u shouldnt have to bet on ur own team, ever.
