Could you please explain how sideboard works? Do you simply add the cards from the sideboard to the deck or can you change cards from deck with cards from sideboard? (Or is it both?)
So, umm...^

You submit a deck. First game is played with original deck. After that, Before every game, you can choose to remove three cards from the original deck.

Hi, this is slightly ambiguous.

So, say I had a 30 card Life Rush and 3 Jade Shields in my sideboard.

I would play game 1 with my Life Rush.
Game 1... They have Psions.
"Oh no! they have Psions! I don't want to remove anything from my deck, but I want reflect! I'll ADD the 3 Jade shields"
Deck is now 33 cards.

Game 2, lobo shows up.
"Oh, they Loboed my Mitosis, and I still didn't draw a Jade Shield!" I'll take out 3 Mitosis!"
Deck is now 30 cards, having removed 3 mitosis, and added 3 Jade Shields.

Game 3, just about win, but still not happy because I drew all 3 jade shields, and they seem to have only a few lobo.
"OK, I'll remove one Jade shield, and add in 2 mitosis!"
Deck is now 31 cards, with one Mitosis, and one Jade Shield not being used.

This is my understanding of how a sideboard works. Is this correct?

No. According to how www3 listed the rules, you would have to run the Jade Shields in the first match. Each match is 3-cards-relative to the previous match, but to the first match. You can't remove 3 more cards each game, but instead remove 3 cards from the original deck

The ambiguous point is whether you're allowed to remove only 1 or 2 cards, rather than the full 3

To model this more simply: Before each match you must import the deck from vault tool. After the first match, you may remove (up to?) 3 cards after importing

Presumably anything you remove must be replaced by something from the sideboard cards?

The whole issue is a little vague, and could use some executive decisions being made, plus the relevant explanation under 3.3 - duels.

It has now been explained to me.
Your 'Sideboard' does NOT start on the side. It is a place you may MOVE up to three cards.

So yes, you start the 1st Game with 33 cards, and then may remove 3 cards after game 1.

The question still remains, must you remove exactly 3, or is it 1 to 3 you may remove?

The question still remains, must you remove exactly 3, or is it 1 to 3 you may remove?

So this is now a completely pointless area that is completely confusing when you hear the word 'sideboard' you expect to be able to modify a deck with the original deck and the cards in the side as it is it is the most pointless thing in the world. Either remove it completely or change it personally I feel removing it is the best idea.
love makin my decks unusual if able. Chaos and luck are widely regarded as different i beg to differ just refer to :entropy but for those in the know also refer to :time and :death.

I'm basing this off the WM's explanation of War 8 R10 EC 'Maneuver': You may use up to 3 relics on each deck to be able to be able to remove 2 cards per relic from that deck before each game.

Cards are removed from the original deck, not the deck played in the previous game.
Both the full deck and any deck used must be legal (50% in-element, etc.).
Post the full deck in the vault tool, and make a topic in your team's secret section stating which players' decks you are using this EC for, and how many relics. In your match report, post the full deck first, followed by any versions which you used during the match.

This has been informally referred to as sideboard, but it was not officially called sideboard in War 8. Hopefully WMs agree with this. If anyone wants, I can provide deck examples.

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

Stop complaining. We had a sideboard role in War #6 (strategist) and it worked well and everyone understood how it worked.
