WAR #9 R16 Run. the word was almost instinct. They couldn't take this anymore. Panting, the group ran out, only to be surrounded by a circle of darkness elementals. They were expecting them the whole time, they had followed them. The general looked helpless. What could they do now? If they made a break for it, they'd be cut off in an instant, if they went back, they'd have the life sucked out of them. There was only one thing they had to do. Fight.	Read the War Rules Contact Warmasters News Darkness is still well ahead, with 215 cards and holding strong in first place. Aether seems to have been eliminated, we mourn. This war seems to be speeding up to it's end, with 2 teams standing. Will air fall to it's knees in front of darkness, will darkness really reign supreme? Find out after this round!
Deckbuilding Duel phase has started 20/01/2016 2300 GMT Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat. All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.	Duels Fighting ends! 26/01/2016 2300 GMT Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends. PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--worldwideweb3 and Coffeeditto--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible. Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round. Please make sure to record your duels as shown in the Rules: (Air Gen) KingKiller 3 - 1 (Water Lt) LordOwner (Air Sld) KingKiller 3 - 1 (Water Gen) LordOwner (Air Lt) KingKiller 3 - 1 (Water Sld) (Sub) LordOwner (SUB indicates that someone else played instead of LordOwner)
Event Card Each team builds maximum of 5 decks. Two of the decks must be a general and a Lt deck and boost cannot be used more than once. Duels are Bo5, like normal. Salvage and discard dont matter this round, you don't win anything. If you lose the match, your deck is discarded, and cannot be used again. Once all your decks are defeated, you lose. Matches can be played in any order, with any decks, but deck during the match cant be changed. Example: Darkness creates 5 decks, A,B,C,D,E. Air also makes 5 decks, A1, B1, C1, D1, E1. One member of team air fights one member of team darkness with their decks, lets say "D1" vs "C". If darkness lose, they lose the deck and air's deck is returned. So deck's left that can be picked from are "A, B, D, E" for darkness and A1, B1, C1, D1, E1" for air. Anyone may bring any deck, given all players play once, unless one was subbed. Questions about this elimination tournament, err... round of war?

Say I bring Deck A vs. farscape who uses Deck A1 and I win my match.  No one else has played a match yet. Can I bring deck A vs. mrpaper using Deck B1 or do I wait for all the other matches to take place?

Do we post decks in the thread if we win a match or just results?

Also, since I used Deck A, no one else on my team can use that deck, so can Afda just say, "hey I want to play vs. trashduke," if he thinks he can beat that deck with his? Can I say "nah, go play Physs"?

What if we all play a match, Darkness wins 3 and Air wins 2... but now we know each others decks (roughly, even if they aren't posted). Darkness would like to send Deck A vs. Air's Deck D1, but Air wants to send D1 vs. B (which we'd rather send vs. E1). Who gets to decide which matchup is played and in which order?

For the deckpicking part.. Seems more fair and easy to say all the team is expected to play at least once but anyone can play anydeck ( as long as the deck is still alive) otherwise we will end up with people refusing to play as thrashduke said.

Problems like this are why both teams have agreed to free subs for this round. Basically, any player can play any deck in any order.

We just need to give each player a deck for the vault tool.

My answers to other questions might help, but yh, you can play one deck for consecutive games, given it doesnt lose, if that's what you are asking.

Post thread with result, edit deck in at the end of round.

You dont decide which opponent you want to play against, you decide what deck you want to play. Also, as free subs were agreed, anyone may bring any deck, given all players play once, unless one was subbed. I'll add this to OP.

As i said, teams can only decide the deck they wanna play. With updated ruling on the way players are required to play the match, anyone from air can bring any of their alive decks, and same for darkness.

Well we basiccly do the equivalent of 3-4 rounds in one if we go to the limit so IF we we're to come out on top it meant we would have drain darkness vault anyway... that said our tiny vault means we won't be nearly as strong as darkness especially given how we have done so poorly vs em already.... I only hope we don't go 0-5 here and if a miracle happens, yay!!!
