Vault Tool Discussion

Starting this thread for discussion of what a vault tool should be. Linked tool is not currently hosted anywhere. At some point this thread may discuss how to use the tool; for now I don't feel like getting into that so RTFS. By "at some point" I mean this thread will eventually become the "how to use the vault tool" (I'll try & KISS)

So yeah, discuss, I'll read, & do whatever
