I can explain more about the bug and why my actions to fix it incriminated me. This permission bug has happened twice before that I can recall and was around for, but not during War times. What happens is that access to boards are seemingly randomly shuffled around without changes appearing in the logs. What I encountered when I came home from work was permissions being strewn about with several groups having access to places they should not have.
My first attempts to fix permissions by clearing them all did not work, so I had to reassign and remove each permission individually to the afflicted groups. This process included changing access to the team boards since some groups had access that shouldn't. While checking and unchecking boards, the forum would not assign or remove the corresponding permissions.
After a short while I managed to fix the bug, and I've taken measures after the incident as well, but the fact that I had to change board access is something a Warblind Admin shouldn't do if they can avoid it. As it was, I was the one that was around to notice the bug and had to take swift action to make sure permissions were corrected and no one had access to the Admin board for instance. I'm glad the WM's have pointed out how this incriminates me so that I can avoid it in the future: hiring Alan again is intended to fix this. Additionally the bug should not occur again after the forum update. So to answer Z, this was an Admin issue and not something a regular member can affect.
