I can explain the gist of it: while we can't prove this or that, I'm unquestionably incriminated because of actions regarding board access while trying to fix a forum-wide permission bug (Spike may remember last time). I don't disagree with the WM's decision since they have sufficient implications to support the decision, and as such I'm willingly stepping down from War. In addition I won't be participating in War in the future if I'm the lone active Admin at that time since it clearly causes issues.

Imposing such a harsh penalty against Aether because you "could have possibly" done something to alter the outcome of rounds 3 & 4, is unacceptable to me.
I would like to know what evidence the WM's based this decision on. Implication is not something I would see as warranting the devastation imposed on your team.
I hope we as a community can see an official explanation to this from a WM as soon as possible.

It was the first trial match between me and Afdarenty, and I couldn't make a post; Higu fixed it.

About what's happened, few words: I know Higurashi since 2010 and it's practically impossible to me even to think she has cheated, even if rounds 3 and 4 are so...perfect as to be a little suspicious. In any case, I'm not sure I want to know the truth.

The WM's and I agreed I'm sufficiently incriminated for them to incur the listed penalties. We also agreed there's no need to go into details since it's technical and not a public discussion. I'd rather take the hit and start fresh with more knowledge of this bug.

I can't regret enough that my team had to suffer, and there's no real way I can pay them back. Even if I were to join the next War on Aether and win them that War it wouldn't change what's happened here. If I could take all the penalty somehow, I would.

E-mail based gdocs access is very secure, all things considered. It's why they made that change, and since we had a security leak for an unknown amount of time during this permission bug it's what I'd enforce as well.

I'm going to investigate if this bug is fixed since we updated the forums last (Nov 11th), since it's pretty serious.
