Well my team didn't fall but I guess this is where it goes!
I wanted to do a post-war post but never found the time so here it goes for fun and drama...
Before war, Deuce came to me and asked me to be general of aether as he wanted to step down and he thought I'd be a good candidate to take his place, I was happy he thought so but I knew I'd have some periods of rushes at job/home that I wouldn't be able to do more then my part and as a general you often need to do that so I decline.. but I offered him to be his lt and help with most of the duties as I knew we see most things eye to eye, and that he accepted. Also, I knew a team would be stronger with deuce then without!
After, we start talking auction as how much we would like to spend and who we would like on our team. This is where I started to have little doubts..what if deuce was using me to get my informations/knowledge on players and then letting me out of the team.. I never expected that but I made some back up plans in case. I talked to every master and asked they're plans/view on war and me. I was quite surprise that I got positive vibes about me from mostly everyone so I knew I would not be let out of war if deuce was to change his mind/use me. I also got some names that masters wanted in they're teams, I don't remember much about that except for 1 funny thing.. 5-6 masters believed that S4xatan0 could go under the radar and go real cheap... not much chance that was going to happen when you're so popular! Me and deuce threw out the names we wanted in the team... we both wanted Jen-I, deuce wanted Vag and I knew him a bit already and was fine with that, deuce also wanted Avenger he got my ok on him only if I get kakerlake as well cause I didn't knew much about Ave (he proved to be great later on) and deuce didn't knew much about Kaker. Then of course the hilarious part for us was to see this auction go on with escalating betting and noobs being sold for close to if not as much as great vets. Some masters made poor planning/got unlucky on how the auction could go ending up being stuck with bidding 14 and just pray the player would join. I gotta say at some point I did ask deuce to bet 14 on me, to not keep me waiting, for 2 reasons, 1: to confirm he isn't using me but mostly 2: I had a 14 bid place on me by Calindu and didn't wanted to keep him waiting as he was my 2nd choice all along (not that far behind). We also place many troll bids that were all on good players... any of them we would have been oki to have in the team if one of our players decided not to join... but the joy of seeing bids getting higher was priceless ! All in all, that part has been too long (as all the war) but it was the most fun for us.
After that, most is known, we never got a bad round in the 8 regular rounds due to a good teamwork and good pool of cards, but then it was all back to the start with spoils (hated it even if we would have been 2nd 3rd or 4th). We got to a final with team air, having a mix of cards for mono aether/grabbow/sanct stall decks left and it could have gone the other way around easily!
So, that's it for a great event event for me that dragged way too long to be a great event for most.
