@Lax, even if you are gone on the weekend, you still have 2.5 days of deckbuilding on weekdays. It could be worse, I only have Sundays off, so I am only available during the last 4-5 hrs of deckbuilding phase.

Yes, but not being available near deadline is in my opinion bad.  If there is an error, or a WM clarification, or something of the sort, I am not there to finalize.  I could just go ahead and make everything myself, but... 1.  That is a pain to do.  2.  I would most likely miss any team input.  3.  I procrastinate, and doing deckbuilding other than my own (for example the entire team's) is very hard to sit down and do, when I still have time/the chance that somebody else will do.  At the end of the period, I know it is up to me/legit and we are getting no intervention.  4.  The reason I don't have a computer is that I go home on the weekends (from my dorm).  At the end of deckbuilding, I just stay up late to 3:30 AM or whatever, in other words, the time is flexible.  When I leave school I have to drive my sister home, which makes the time inflexible. This combos poorly with procrastination.  And deuce, with you only being off on sundays, Would you rather the deadline to be early sunday morning, or later? YOu would have more time to commit to this.

all players team can use this cards vault, if  use crimison dragon may only use 4 or less and no more copies
(if you have 6 members, the 6 members may use 4 crimisons dragons if they want)

@Lax, i dont know what to say, a poll was done, the current schedule got the majority vote. There have been 1 or 2 rounds where my one day off for the week was during duel phase, and I was not available to finalize everything, let alone let test or deckbuild. I relied on my team those rounds. I would rather have a full day to prep during those rounds. But to answer your question, i would rather be on a couple hours before deadline than a full day during the first day of deckbuilding, but I attribute that to the strength of my team. If my team was inactive, i would prefer the latter.

@Vang, so with your rules, theoretically, every person on every team can field grabbow if it's in their vault...sounds real fun.

In the interest of keeping it short, my opinion is:

The scheduling was done as fair as possible (was put to a vote - which I guess may not have covered ALL the options?) and there is likely no way to "please us all".  It seems you drew the short stick this round.

There was a deckbuilding phase recently that I missed almost entirely.  My team performed GREAT in my absence and re-affirmed to my how important drafting a competent and complete team is for War.  If you know you have weekly unavailable times, having a competent #2 or team is your best bet.

I understand that having to play 2 extra matches knowing that you've lost isn't fun, but the point of War is to prepare so that doesn't happen, not speedbuilding. As duece said, War is about preparation. Team preparation. As in working together as a team, not having to make off the cuff decisions that usually won't involve team members. If an army bring cannons to a fight, they can't quickly go back in the middle of fighting to change their weapons if cannons don't suit the matchup. While there a no pvp events that are exactly like your rules, most of them allow changing decks between games. War is meant to be different. Also, there's also the way one plays decks, and changing ones strategy mid-match could possibly snatch a win.
I do agree that the auction wasn't good, but the bad auction has nothing to do with the battle stage.

Well, at least the possibility of the player take 2 prepared decks to duel, continue with preparation and war, but with 2 decks which can be changed.

I think the strategist was good, but i wouldn't like something stronger.

If the strats were balanced so they weren't the most powerful player on a team, it'd be cool if they were brought back.

you see the concept of war as is now

but I see it as a competition of the elements, which need not be exactly the way it is , this not is a good example of "ideal fun"
surely there are other ways to create a more balanced competition between the elements and also more fun and fair.

I like your example of the cannon but I can see another war scenario that things change rapidly, a Knight using sword and shields, can throw up his shield and fight with two swords , sacrificing defense and strengthening the attack, and this is a move that can be done quickly in a battle.

I haven't been participating in this war, but I've been looking at the match postings, and I don't know what the difference is, but it seems like there are a lot of really interesting decks this time around.  From what I understand, the salvage rules were changed quite a bit, so perhaps it has something to do with that, but whatever the reason, it seems like this war is more exciting than the last couple were, at least from my point of view, as an outsider in war 6, and as one who was eliminated very early in war 5.  (I liked war 4 a lot, but it was also my first one, so everything was new to me then)
