I have no problem with someone in WAR doing it. Why not let ddevans96 do it, he did it before. We don't really need event card.

This poses large problems for things like matchups making or making a ruling on a problematic match.

So, during your term as WM, did you make rulings in favor of Air? Did Hels make rulings in favor of Life?

This is a non-issue. The issue is that I will not take over as WM until I don't have a team to lead. No amount of discussion would convince me otherwise.

It's not about taking over; I think, just to speed it up.

Yeah of course it's optional, I think it's up to the council to choose a person unless someone like Jenkar and ddevans that has been warmasters before wants to.

Except that you know, they're both currently -leading- two war teams.

Ah sorry I might have expressed myself a bit confusing. Ddevans and Jenkar was just an example of people who has been warmasters before, I can think of many other people that could step in and post round5 but since I have only joined war once before I don't know how many of them that know the war rules good enough. And thats why i was thinking of the council to choose someone since they know more about this than I do.

The council should step in imo, not like they have tons of decisions to make anyway, this could be an opportunity to show that there's actually a point in having one.

And if not, give up, let the game be, if organising a War is too difficult, why bother?

Also, I haven't received any indication that anyone would like to step up and help. (until after their team is eliminated)

Just randomizing the matches and setting up timers should be enough until the WMs return. This could be temporarily posted elsewhere and later moved to the right place.

I wouldn't mind helping, but that's not the point and also quite impossible I understand.

And the lack of indication that anyone might step up might derive from the fact that no thread was made asking for WM applications, the discussion only seems to go on here, and people not participating in War have little chances to see it while the ones who do can or should not apply.

Don't take this as a personal offence majofa, I have a huge respect for what you do for this community, you care and do a lot of work and keep this alive.

That's right, and if you try to do  this community something more respectable

Well then from this point we can: a) hope at least a wm comes back which is getting more unlikely every day and will jeopardize the event if the wait is too long as people will quit or b) just take it on our hand from here.  I know I won't have trouble finding someone for updated standings and make the matches countdown.  Getting a new set of match for rd 5 is easy, it's only a matter of trust here which shouldn't be much an issue... if anything, it's still better then no matches and maybe someone like higs could do it if possible as its really little to do.  As for decks, as of now we'd have to post on team secret section as usual and penalty if mistakes would only count whenever that wm problem is fixed (at rd 8 at max since we change to spoils then, will only be a problem in case of a potential tie for 4th place really so I'd live with that even if not ideal).  I wouldn't mind giving ruling on specific game play mistake myself, if any (not concerning my team), anyone else could do so if he wishes to.  Event cards would be suspended for rd 5 and until we get em if we can.
