The Elementals have long grown restless and seek to finally undo the essence of creation... Aether itself. As the 11 elements awaken, seeking power, old alliances finally begin to crack. New allies are found, and old friends can no longer be trusted. A new era begins... Event Card: Notes: Post in your private section in a topic titled "Round 2 Event Card" specifying which mark you think each of your opponents will use. For every correct guess, you gain 1 Relic. Other Notes: Light receives a 3 card Penalty for using the wrong deck. Air receives a 3 card Penalty for being late with their SDCPT. Fire has received a bye (which was randomly decided between Fire and Water).

WAR #7 - ROUND 2 Read the War Rules Contact Warmasters News: War begins! Deckbuilding: Duel phase has started Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat. All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start. Duels: Fighting ends! Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends. PM your opponent and try to find a time that suits you both. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you are both are online, please contact Warmasters--Helston, Wizardcat, and Belligerence--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and/or flexible. Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round. So a team which is weak vs aether might face them twice or a team strong against water may face them twice. 4 times if they cuddle up on the randomness of round four. Well not really as fair as rules make it sound but hey

Which team is weak vs aether? And why is it unfair? You imply that a team which is strong vs aether should get them twice to be fair. I fail to see how is it fair to us.

Gee, the elements are just an example avenger. Unlike previous wars, it looks like the rules were written with the concern of making the matchups fair, less RNG based. Because, rightfully or not, some teams made an uproar about it. This 6th random match thing seems like it was missed.

What? Then how would the match else be decided, f not by RNG? RNG is the most fair option.

Right, the elements are just an example, Hain. But you cannot get this sixth match fair. What is good for one team is bad for the other. With one single remaining match, you don't have room for balance.
And my first question also stands, which team is weak vs random example element?

My intention was not to suggest a better option. But incidently, i do have a -not so well thought- solution; Make it so that we have 5 matches on rounds 2 and 4.

The only uncertain thing is the event card. We know 5/6 of our matchups. And we know everyone will randomly face a team twice. What is the possible big secret preventing us from discussing ?
