So if I'm understanding this correctly, you changed the ruling because the most fair ruling could potentially be exploited by someone in a strategist role?

If this is the case, why not make a separate ruling if this happened to a strategist?

Even without the strategist role we were concerned about the potential for exploitation. If a team considered it an advatage to play with both decks already known then they very well might have intentionally used the wrong deck. We wanted to be sure this wouldn't happen.

I think this rule should be added to War:

In case of a desync error, both players shall play the AI, unless both agree not to. If both players win/lose vs the AIs, replay the match. Players may request a screen as proof of victory, see Screenshot Help to see how to make a screen on your system if you don't know how to. If one player was clearly about to lose, he or she should do the honorable thing and give the win to the other player even if there was a desync error. After replaying a match due to a desync error, players are not allowed to change decks.

I haven't reread the rules today, but isn't, in that cases, the win given to the player that was obviousley going to win (if that's the case the pics show)?

For example, if there's a desync between us, I am with 5 HP and you have a dragon (no shields in field) and you are with 90 HP with me dealing 10 damage per turn, then the win is yours.

We're not talking about 'next turn' wins. This is about 3+ turns left.

I don't get your example at all. If your point is that AI always fractals RoLs, then the first player would always beat AI and the second player would also always beat AI, and so they'd replay. Otherwise, first player beats AI and second player loses to AI implies that first player beats second player 3-0, which should happen if there were no desyncs anyway.

I don't understand this? Even if the AI cannot play one side, the other side 'saves to replay' if they can give a winning screenshot.
Giving a screenshot is independent of decks.

I don't get your example at all. If your point is that AI always fractals RoLs, then the first player would always beat AI and the second player would also always beat AI, and so they'd replay. Otherwise, first player beats AI and second player loses to AI implies that first player beats second player 3-0, which should happen if there were no desyncs anyway.

This was an extreme case (I didn't mean to say 3-0), but the point stands: The RoL/Hope deck with the AI playing will never beat the 'Shield' deck, which means playing it out after a desync is a lose/replay situation for the RoL/Hope deck. So, tell me, how is playing it out fair? A desync shouldn't be an advantage for on deck over the other.
