I am not sure if all of this belongs here or not, but this is where I am putting it. For those without time to read this, I will summarize: War was fun. Camaraderie is a plus. Lack of preparation is a minus.
First, I would like to thank the Warmasters for putting on another enjoyable event. I had a lot of fun once again and eagerly await the next one. Special thanks to kev whose incessant desire to cause misery in others makes him the perfect candidate to lead War. And Mithcarion, before he was hit by a bus, whose hatred of the participants gave War that added zing. Seriously, both of them were extremely helpful and responsive; they were also extremely positive despite the negativity that was often directed their way. Somehow ddevans managed to avoid my badgering this War, but he was quick to respond, positive, and helpful when I needed anything last War. I hope he enjoys his retirement; he has earned it. I can honestly say that I have never had a negative experience with any of the Warmasters over two wars. Thanks for everything you do.
Second, I would like to thank xdude for giving me the opportunity to participate in another War and letting me try my hand at the administrative side of things. I learned a great deal again this War and would be honored to raise your banner again should the opportunity arise.
Third, I would like to thank the rest of Team

. Your kind words are appreciated, but you truly give me more credit than I deserve. Your patience and assistance when frustration overwhelmed me will not be forgotten. Bonestorm, your ideas helped us build the vault and your playing skill was top notch; I hope you do not resent being the salvager and seemingly always getting Titsaders, but your ability to win when we needed it was something I counted on. Pineapple, your creativity was exceptional; I truly marveled at all the deck ideas you seemed to be able to muster with ease. DevilLoss, your early contributions were second to none, and I resent the real world for taking you away from us. Newbiecakes, you were another unfortunate victim of real life commitments; you were always willing to lend a hand when you could, and I am grateful for it. ak65ala and 1world24, our underutilized support team members, you always provided creative deck ideas when we needed them and were always itching for a fight; I wish I would have given you more.
Fourth, I would like to thank my opponents. It is a testament to the community that no matter how lopsided the battle or how unfortunate the outcome, I always had a pleasant experience with the people I faced, including justaburd, quite possibly the luckiest man alive, and top decking drolly. Thank you all for making this part of War as enjoyable as the rest.
Fifth, I would like to talk about two of the things that I feel largely contributed to our poor results. I think the primary issue was lack of preparation. We simply did not do much testing and made deck selection without enough consideration for what our opponents would bring. And here I can take a large portion of the blame; I simply hate testing and lack the PvP experience to be good at prediction and strategic planning. The other issue was that our team never really...clicked. Rather than a unified group, it often felt like just people who share a similar goal. This was likely due in large part to insufficient communication brought about by alternating real life issues and different times of availability. There were very few forum posts made, and it was a rarity for there to be three people in team chat at once. This lack of communication significantly contributed to our aforementioned lack of preparation as decisions were often made unilaterally as deadlines were approaching.
I suppose now I will just root for Team

and return to lurker mode until the next War starts.
