I knew some event card would get in the way of reaching round 10 even when Darkness loses twice this round.

Really surprised to see we jumped from near bottom, all the way to second in standings. Earth gets a bye and Death is doing pretty well too, so this looks like a tough round :s Win or die! :P (that's totally how the round 10 event card should be called xD)
If we beat that damn notp in the beginning (first half) of the war, it would be different.
Beat NotP? Wha?...

I don't... I don't understand.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Okay, so here's a hypothetical example.  My 36 card deck is:

9x time factory
9x time pendulum
6x hope
6x flooding
6x rustler

18/36 of my cards are time, thus fulfilling the 50% rule for cards of your own element.

The deck I want to actually play is:

9x time factory
3x time pendulum
6x hope
6x flooding
6x rustler

Which is a 30 card deck, but it only uses 12 time cards.  Could I legally do this for round 9?

that was legal last war, so I would assume yes.

Actually a rehash from a card last war, which indeed was based off your idea.

Yes, this is legal. As long as your 36 card deck is legal, any deck you can make with them is as well.

Yes, that is legal. As long as that original "deck" of 36 cards is legal, it's all good. You can tweak your deck as much as you like between duels without having to think about legalities.

Not that it matters, but I was actually thinking about the original Sideboard event (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,16210.0.html) by Essence, which was the first instance of sideboard being used. I even said "stolen from the Sideboard event" in the secret section. :)

I think there's a minimum of just 2 eliminations, and a maximum of 6.  We were working it out in team chat this afternoon.

Minimum:
1-Fire or Water will be eliminated for certain since they face each other
0-Time loses to entropy and aether
1-Time and Air both eliminate Light OR Air beats Light and Light eliminates Time (if time loses all 3 games)
0-Gravity beats death, death beats dark, dark beats earth (and they all advance)

Maximum:
1-Death beats Gravity
1-Death and Earth each beat Darkness
1-One of Fire and Water must be eliminated
2-Time beats Aether and Entropy
1-Light beats Air OR Time and Air both beat Light

Ah, right, I had gone over it them day before and figured it was 2 as well, and that's what I originally posted, but something seemed odd with that, so I went and re-checked, then edited, finding it was 3 (It was pre-15 minutes, so it doesn't show up noticeably), having forgotten to account for Earth's bye the second time.

*mathpalm*
