News
War continues!


Deckbuilding Phase      Battle phase has started!
Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. Decks are to be added to the Vault Google doc. Team Strategist works with the doc but all team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat.

All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which editing deck post is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty, and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.


Battle Phase      Round has ended
Battle phase starts when Deckbuilding phase ends.

PM your opponent and try to find a time that suits you both. Time Zone Converter (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html) might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you are both are online, please contact Warmasters (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=2694,3167) kevkev60614 and/or ddevans96 immediately. If the match doesn't happen you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and/or flexible.

Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.

Please make sure you record your duels correctly as follows:

Event Card
War is winding down, which is just another way to say the slain outnumber their counterparts.  It's the nature of War that every wave of foes is more important than the ones you're stepping over, and this wave is no different.

Luck favors the prepared and most especially the versatile.  While nobody could possibly complain that luck has played a part in the outcome of this War, it'd be best to be both prepared and versatile as you wade through the fallen to face this latest wave of foes.


- Players may build any deck from those 36 cards, meaning their deck size during each duel will be 30-36 cards.
- Players may play a different deck during each individual duel. They have 3 minutes between duels to make changes to their deck.
- Teams that are unable to give 36 cards to each player, may take Pillars or Pendulums of their element as temporary bonus cards which will disappear after the battle.
- You may change your mark and/or which cards are upped between duels.

I have only one thing to say. If there is one part of war that should never be removed, it is the salvaging of cards on a win. Seeing as it has been removed now because somebody decided that war would be an awful failure if it lasted longer than 10 rounds, I am saddened.

Really? of all people we face darkness again. the curse of the notp continues.

Also this no salvage thing is pretty annoying, it keeps teams like darkness in the sweet spot and allows time to freely such someone with 4 nymphs.

Again, I am curious to see how the devs. are going to 'nudge' this to end by round 10.

Best case, after this round, we have 8 teams left with 1 deck each.  This would then boil down to a tournament bracket type setup (assuming no more salvages) ending round 12.

Worst case, after this round, we have time winning their 3, winning their 3 in the next round (round 10), boiling down to time holding 3 decks and one other team holding 1.  Then we have that small team hold out till the final battle round 13.

The balance of teams and cards and the lack of salvages, increased discards is helping, but unless something else happens, we have minimum 3 more rounds after this one.  Any event that speeds it up more will most likely kick out smaller teams or cause extra battles in a round, both which I don't see as a viable option.
